From the first step inside the property, with the most friendly welcome, to our last second before departure, we had leaved a real "once in a lifetime" experience with our hosts Paul and Daniel. Beautiful property, decorated with taste and breathtaking view "du ciel" from this extraordinary medieval village (amazing moment's spent at tea time and breakfast). For the overall experience, just imagine you are visiting your best friends! Thanks so much again Daniel and Paul. Beatriz and Stephane
Paul and Daniel were most excellent B&B hosts catering to my every need and desire. Everything was perfect, from the delicious crispy fresh chocolate croissants at breakfast to my room’s balcony looking out onto the rolling hills of farmland. Paul organized an unforgettable bike ride through the vineyards and small neighboring towns, the highlight of my trip. If you want to step into a fairytale, visit atop a hill the medieval village of Cordes-sur-Ciel filled with small cobblestone streets and stone houses with blue wooden shutters and stay at Le Chevalier Noir.
We stayed at Le Chevalier Noir for three nights as part of a week in the Toulouse area. Paul and Daniel were the most amazing hosts - so welcoming and hospitable. The room was perfect, the breakfasts superb and we enjoyed a table d'hote dinner that matched any restaurant. Paul made a special effort on our last morning and drove us up to a ridge overlooking Cordes, so that we could see the sunrise and the town hovering over the morning mist - absolutely magical, and typical of our hosts' efforts to make our stay special.
Paul and Daniel happily welcomed us to their stunning property with open arms and continued to do so throughout our entire stay; reserving us tables at restaurants and helping us to book a kayaking trip. Our rooms were very clean and full of character with beautiful period furniture. Homemade figs and tomatoes from their garden were my favourite part of the full and varied breakfast. We also loved to be able to relax by the pool amongst the beautiful scenery. We can't wait to return!
We spent 3 nights here and it surpassed all our expectations. From the warm welcome we received on arrival and the very refreshing pot of tea to the stunning view from our room and the attention to detail given by both Paul and Daniel, we could have stayed much longer. The pool is a lovely place to sit and relax, the grounds of the house are pretty and so well kept. The breakfast was taken outside on the terrace and included meats, cheeses, home-grown fruit, breads, cereals and juices, etc. Nothing was too much trouble. Paul was helpful in organising kayaking for us and gave us recommendations and made reservations at local restaurants. The house itself has an aura of calm and is beautifully looked after and immaculate. I hope we can visit again soon!!
