Pictures can be deceiving. The picture of a rather majestic looking Alerion hotel belies the drab and dreary accommodation we were presented with on our arrival. We'd booked two budget rooms and I wasn't expecting much but the rooms were dark and dingy. The bed seemed fairly new but looked like it to belonged in another hotel. The rest of the...

My partner and I booked this hotel as it was near to the main rail station. As such the location is perfect but we were not impressed at all with the stay. On arrival there was no water (from taps) available at all and after 4 hours there was still no hot water. The shower cubicle was tiny and a...

The Alerion is well located near the station and there is secure public parking across the road. The rooms are basic but clean and adequate. Service is good and the breakfast is more extensive than many similar hotels. We had a room on the inner courtyard side and the pigeons were very noisy. Good place to break your journey.

This was a modest hotel but very good in terms of value for money. We paid about €55 for a budget room on Hotels.com and were upgraded to a comfort room on our arrival at 10pm. The Reception was on the first floor but we went up to get a code and could take our luggage up in the lift....

Perfect stay for one night, next to the railway station and in the centre of town. Room was good, fairly spacious clean and quiet. No frills breakfast, but a decent place to stay for that price. Would recommend it!

Hotel located up one floor above a café across from the railroad station. Not really central to most sites but was at the start point for the Michelin guide walking tour of Metz. Very good ;location for the Centre Pompidou - a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. There is underground parking (Urbispark) across the street but it...

Just a one night stop here. Parked in the underground car park opposite the hotel - discounted for hotel guests and under CCTV 24/7. Hotel entrance at street level but all rooms upstairs. Budget hotel but clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we had an early start.

We chose the Alerion because it was close to the railway station. Our room overlooked the beautiful station building and the square outside, but it wasn't at all noisy. The room was a decent size, with a small but adequate ensuite bathroom. The hotel provides free wifi and continental-style breakfast buffet.

The Alerion is located in the Imperial District across the station and Pompidou Center. Our comfort room included twin beds, wardrobe, writing desk and tea/coffee making facilities. Room, clean and comfortable. Staff, very friendly & helpful. Parking with a discount was provided in garage across the street.

This is my second stay at the Alerion. It is directly across from the Metz center train station. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I asked if I needed a dinner suggestion, which I did, and was directed to an excellent restaurant. Rooms are cozy and well decorated. The bathroom had been recently renovated so everything was perfect. Free...
