This is a fairly typical Ibis hotel with rooms which are basic but comfortable. Our room was clean and in good condition. The hotel has a very nice breakfast area overlooking the river with a pleasant outdoor terrace for good weather. The breakfast is very good with a wide range of options to suit everyone. .Parking is a bit difficult if you don't pay extra for the hotel's off site garage. The hotel is extremely good value for its excellent location which is a quiet and pleasant spot just a few minutes' walk across the river from the old town and all its attractions.

Although the renovation is not fully completed yet, the friendly staff tried its best. Lobby and the small twin-bed room are renovated, while the bathroom offers your a retrospective of a couple of decades ago. The best is the location, which is only a km away from pulsing Metz City.

Stayed here on our way to Lucerne. Lovely room with views of the river. Very clean and quiet. Hotel is well placed for a 10 mins stroll into town. Staff here were delightful and breakfast was good. Would highly recommend this place

The very small car park outside the hotel was already full when we arrived so we were directed to a nearby underground car park. This was fun as we were in a mini bus so parking was done with baited breath! When we got to the hotel the lady on the check in desk was excellent, superb English and very helpful. Our room was a bit tired looking but functional, clean and with decent wifi. There was a desk for working, a small wardrobe and a bath too! The hotel location was very useful for us - 5 minutes walk to the cathedral and old town. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and although the menu was very limited and obviously not cooked to order it was decent food and filling although expensive for what it was. There wasn't anything else we could see within easy walking distance anyway. Once again, the lady working there was superb. Breakfast was surprisingly good - a wide range of food in a buffet style with a different, but also very helpful, lady assisting. Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room too - I know it's a cheaper hotel but it was still nearly €80 a night, enough to afford a kettle so you can have a coffee when you wake up and in the evening without having to go downstairs.

While it was convenient for walking it left some things to be desired. No wash clothes available at all! No Kleenex either. Evening staff was a very rude man. And room smelled of fried fish. I would not recommend, nor would I stay again.
