What a charming hotel. Right next to a very old church (there are many churches) and three minutes walk to the main square, Stanislas. The wifi is a little slow but everything else is beautiful. Stanislas Square is a must-see with its beautiful ornate golden gates and fountains. it is particularly beautiful in the setting sun. The City Hall is... More

Lovely hotel walking distance from the magnificent Place Stanislas & the old town. Rooms are charming & clean with a large bathroom & great walk in shower. Price quality ratio is high. Recommend a room over the flower courtyard which is pretty & quiet. Even though the floor boards creak it didn't worry me - part of the charm! Will... More

Pleasant stopover on the way to the south or on the way back; we always stay there, in the same room, coming from the Netherlands on our way to the Haute Savoie or back, winter and summer. Beautiful old building, around the corner of Place Stanislas. Friendly, helpfull and courteous staff. Good breakfast. Rooms ok, not too large, but with... More

This was the start to our honeymoon, arriving around 8pm in the evening. There is parking outside the hotel but appeared full. We checked with the receptionist, who was really unhelpful. He directed us away from the hotel to park the car, yet on return, some German visitors had parked outside anyway! Although he spoke English, he continued in French... More

Hotel des Prelats is in a great location, close to Place Stanislas. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was nice. Breakfast is in a pleasant space. This is old fashioned comfort with charm. Wifi is iffy but mostly works.

Driving in Nancy is not easy with no entry, one way system galore but aim for Stanislavski square and you are getting near. We managed to park right outside.Easy walk to the main square and that is beautiful. Hotel is cosy with creaking old wooden floorboards. Lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed, furnished in a very French manner. Pleasant breakfast... More

Charming small hotel in a beautiful old building in a central location. Each room has its own character, with old-style furniture and textiles. During our visit it was cold and rainy outside, but the rooms were warm and cosy. The breakfast area is beautiful, with a view to an inner court garden. Nice, friendly atmosphere. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. The... More

This old bishop's palace is propbably not the smartest hotel property in Nancy - however, Sarah at Reception pushed our rating to the full five points. She greeted us by name (even remembering the name of our dog), quickly changed our room when we found the first one too small, rapidly found two qults to meet our sleeping requirements, provided... This is a very charming 400 plus year old palace converted to a small hotel. We stayed in a room in the top floor. I loved it so much we came back the 2 days later and stayed another night. About 100m far from the Stanislas Place, in an old Episcopal house dated of 1609 where the primate of Lorraine lived, built between the Cathedral and the flower garden of the Nuns of the union, you will find the charm of yesteryear in those tester beds comparable with Prelates' cubicles in each room.Charming hotel decorated with simple, noble and warm material, get carried away by silence in a residence with a lot of character and with a modern convenience combining waxed furniture and walls impregnated with history. ... more   less
