The staff are friendly and it's steps from the Vieille Ville of Nancy. The breakfast room is a beautiful restored 17th century room, with freshly painted gold fleur-de-lys on the ceiling. My Nancy friends all told me that I chose a great hotel and I agree! The only complaint I had was that the Wifi was incredibly slow. They told... More

We - family of 4 with two teenage daughters - stayed in the Hotel de Guise for one night. We had booked a family room, which was basic and rather small, as we expected from the description. The hotel, which is situated in an old palace, is filled with quirky details, there are arm chairs and couches in the corridors,... More

We opted for a "classique" room and were satisfied with it. It was on the small side (very small, actually) but the bed was good and large enough. Bathroom was tiny too but clean. The building is old and very charming. Staff was very friendly. In our case they threw in the breakfast. If they don't, consider going somewhere else,... More

Really enjoyed our night at this hotel, tucked up a side street but within walking distance of everything in Nancy. Wonderful, helpful hotel staff. Decent room (would have loved tea/coffee facilities in room), comfortable bed and a really delicious Continental breakfast (worth the extra cost) in the morning, served in the old room next to reception.

In a lovely old palace, great location, clean. We booked the family room which slept 4 : it was quite Spartan, but clean and it had everything. We found it difficult to get info on free wi fi. We did not choose to have breakfast, but the breakfast space looked lovely.

Tastefully appointed modern rooms do not take away from this manse built in the 1750's. Our rooms overlooked the centre court so it was very quiet and charming. The location is perfect for visiting Stanislas Square and the nearby Basilica.

Charming and quiet hotel in the heart of the historic centre of Nancy, just a few minutes away from famous Place Stanislas. The individually served breakfast was quite perfect, but one should not expect a continental breakfast. The staff was very friendly, competent and helpful - day and night. this is a place worthwhile coming back.

A wonderful relaxing find right in the heart of the old medieval quarter on a quiet side street. Easy walk to main attractions and good restaurants and bars nearby. An old converted merchant's mansion with most original details intact. All rooms were in the process of being renovated as of July 2015 (my room was not yet). My single room... More

Staying on the top floor means a lot of dragging with the luggage as there is no elevator (would be a shame to put an elevator in such a beautiful old building) but the rooms up there were also recently renovated. Recent, as in "still smelling of fresh paint". We overheard some other guests complaining about that at the reception... More

I have stayed here three times at different points in my life, including with a dog and with kids. This place is a great find in the old part of town, a 10 minute walk to Stanislas Square. It is an old villa turned into a small hotel. Breakfast is worth the price too.
