Jackie and Liston are two of the most geniune people you could hope to meet, They offer hospitality of a rare kind...We only booked B&B for one night expecting to move on after breakfast but instead talked into the late hours aided and abetted by free flowing wine and gorgeous cheese. This is not our style, we don't look for... More

Thank you both for such kind words. Hosting fine people like yourselves makes this job very enjoyable and rewarding. Always a pleasure to chat to warm interesting people with or without copious amounts of wine! Hope the rest of your holiday was a success. More

We visited La Ferme Du Lac on recommendation for an evening meal and were not at all disappointed. It is in a beautiful location with warm welcoming hosts and great food and a great atmosphere we will surely return.

Great food...I especially love the Sunday lunch, great hosts, great atmosphere. I love it here, it has a very relaxed feeling and Jackie and Liston make you so welcome and go that extra mile to accommodate.

I may be biased as my friends Jackie and Liston own this beautiful place and they are the perfect hosts. I would urge anyone and everyone to try it. It's a holiday retreat to die for with beautiful walks and fantastic scenery, not forgetting the scrumptious food on offer. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I've never done a review of a place I've stayed in before so the fact this was good enough that I've decided to do so says a lot in itself. I've been lucky enough to travel widely and the surroundings of La Ferme du Lac are as beautiful as I've had the pleasure of encountering. The lake side position nestled... More

We stayed here as an overnight stop en route towards Perpignan but wish we could have stayed longer! We stayed mid June and received a warm welcome from our hosts Jackie and Liston who cooked us a fantastic meal. Jackie and Liston have just bought La Ferme Du Lac and have great plans for the place which we are sure... More

Lovely setting and the hosts were so accommodating and welcoming to our family with 3 small children. Friendly, clean and great value. Would definitely recommend if visiting the region for B and B accommodation.

Whoops for the delay - had another child. We stayed here for 3 nights end of Aug 2013. I was getting quite heavily pregnant and we had a 3 year old with us, given these circumstances I was a little apprehensive, but La Ferme du Lac was everything we needed and wanted. It really is the most incredible location, albeit... More

We loved this place. Basic but sufficient chalets; fantastic location surrounded by woods with serenity of the lake; great walks and small villages to explore (and their markets and food of course.....); lots of activities to do nearby eg Lake to swim at; walk with pull along ferry; velo rail and go ape at Bussiere galant; caves with prehistoric paintings... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Family run, La Ferme du Lac is a 17th century restored farmhouse nestling at the bottom of a 25 acre wooded valley in one of the most beautiful areas of France. The location is stunning, a private valley with a dammed lake at one end, farmhouse and out-buildings in the middle and a riverside meadow with cottages and camping spaces. What more could you ask for! The night sky at La Ferme du Lac is phenomenal. Equally you will find the sunsets to be magnificent, and the sunrises are pretty spectacular too. The early morning mist rolling off the lake, with kingfishers flying by, is a sight to behold. All in all La Ferme du Lac is the ideal place for a family holiday in high season, and while children are always welcome it tends to be couples and groups that we see out of the high season. ... more   less
