We stayed here for a few days. It is in a fantastic location with a 2 min walking distance to the restaurants, shopping, art galleries and bars in Uzes. It is a lovely B&B. Our room was decorated with interesting pieces of furniture and the overall room was a joy to stay in. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a deep freestanding tub. The toilet is in the bathroom as well, although separated. The bathroom well laid out. The room has a nice view of the garden and pool and the countryside around Uzes. There is a lovely HEATED pool which was fabulous to be in. I’ve stayed in more expensive places in France and the pool was not heated, so this was a real treat!!! For breakfast, there is a nice selection of interesting breads, meats and good coffee and a great selection of tea. The cups of coffee we had was one of the better ones we’ve had during our various trips to France. I highly recommend this place for its location, facilities and friendly hosts.

We loved Uzes and the location of the B&B was perfect. It is in walking distance to everything worth visiting and you get parking just a few minutes away included. Fabienne and Laurent are excellent hosts who do their best (and succeed) in making the stay worthwhile. We were there for 2 nights and changed rooms, we booked at the last minute and were lucky to find a vacancy, and we were charmed with both of our clean and lovely decorated rooms. Breakfast was lovely in the garden under the trees and we enjoyed every minute of our stay including an absolutely wonderful massage by Fabienne for a more than reasonable fee.

Terrific location with easy parking in a car park (paying) next door (Maronniers). A lovely traditional French house, with charming garden and pool and a reasonable tariff. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, juice, cereals, yogurts and pastries and served on the lovely terrace. A 5 minute walk to town. The hosts are friendly and helpful. I would return, but probably not pick the pigeionnier room as it is right on the road and therefore quite noisy. Time your visit to coincide with the Saturday or wednesday market if you can. Canoeing from Collias under the Pont du Gard also highly recommended, also the walk to the source de l’Eure which starts from the park opposite the hotel.

La Maison Rouge is a lovely old stone house converted to a B&B. It still feels homely and the hosts are welcoming and friendly. The Maison Rouge is situated in a narrow little lane less than 10 minutes walk from the bus station. It is also less than 10 minutes walk from the main square, a number of historic attractions, plenty of good restaurants, and a large wooded park with a beautiful spring fed stream that was used by the Romans. This B&B has good rooms with comfy beds and a private bathroom. A generous and delicious breakfast is included in the very reasonable tariff. It is usually served in their garden. There is a small swimming pool. Entry to the B&B off the iane is through a locked door ( No 6). From memory it is either the 2nd last or the last door on the right Uzes is not only a beautiful and interesting old village to chill out, it is a good spot to use as a base to visit the famous must see Roman aqueduct Pont du Gard and the substantial Roman sites in the city of Nimes. In the centre of Nimes, there is a Roman amphitheatre that rivals the size and grandeur of the Coliseum. Both the Pont du Gard and Nimess can easily be visited in separate day trips using the bus service. Staying at Maison Rouge in Uzes will give you an authentic French home experience. Stewart & Debbie
