This really is in a great spot just by the Arena, but the hotel itself is pretty basic. Our room was very tight with not a lot of room, and we had no view at all, not even of the garden, let alone the Arena. Staff were competent and capable.

We turned up at this hotel’s doorstep after being turned down by another because they had no rooms. This hotel gave us a 4 person room at a 2 person rate. It’s located in a very old building with the original curved staircases. We we a bit surprised that the rooms themselves were modernized. I was hoping for old and quaint, but was just happy they gave us a room. The best part is that you were right across from the arena. It was walking distance to absolutely everything. We particularly enjoyed the gardens with the fountains. It really bugs me when people book a 3 star hotel, then complain because it’s not a 5 star hotel... Well guess what? We looked at some 5 star hotels... The cost of one of those for one night was more than we paid for 7 nights on the road.. This hotel is just fine... clean, spacious and refrigerators.. Go for it

We stayed in a 4 person suite which had an incredible view over Les Arènes. This view pushed the rating up to a 3.5, without the view a 3 would be more accurate. The check in was easy-ish once you called someone to get them to check you in, at 4pm so not a bizarre time to turn up. But, we didn’t have to wait too long. The room itself, a four person suite, was very dated, especially the bathroom. No shower curtain, a sink that blocked as soon as you turned the tap on and a dodgy shower head. We had said only two people were staying but maybe should have specified we were a couple as there was another ‘fold out’ bed downstairs but it was impossible to fold away. Not so much a problem for a one night stay but may be a bit annoying if you’re staying longer and could do with more space. The view from the room was stunning and that’s what pushes the score up, definitely worth requesting a room facing Les Arènes as it was spectacular both day and night, when it was lit up. The hotel was centrally located and great if you’re getting out and about to explore the sights. An ideal base camp, but let down by the worn out rooms which could do with a revamp.

The hotel is very well located, and has a good price. The room was space full enough for two adults and two children, but the entire hotel needs some transformations. My children had the impression to be in a hunted hotel in the evening, so did we. The bathroom is small and old. Even if the room was clean, the missing paint on the walls and the old floor tiles, were giving the opposite impression. I would not recommend the breakfast at all. I had a better breakfast for 5€ for the 4 of us at the camping were staying! The wifi has also a very very poor quality. It was easier for me not to use the wifi. Even if I mention there is a free wifi, you have to be aware the connection is not efficient at all. The hotel staff is great, helpful and smiling.

Receptionists were really kind a very helpful as we were travelling with our pupper of 2 years old. As the cleaning crew refused to take care of the room because of a pupper (puppy dog), the reception took care of the dog while the room was cleaned. This goes beyond normal service so we will definitely come back to this hotel. Spacious, clean, 5m ceiling height room with separate kitchen, washroom and separate toilets with direct vue of the Arenas, decent breakfast buffet, fast lifts, well situated : best bang for the buck.
