Detailed Reviews
A lovely stay in an idyllic rural setting with great views over vineyards and the surrounding countryside but only about a 10-15 minute drive from the centre of Carcassonne and a similar distance from the airport. We stayed in La Forge, the medium sized of the three gites, which was very comfortable and the perfect size for the four of us. The owners, Jean-Noel and Agate, were great hosts, on hand to give help and advice when required but also respectful of our privacy. The pool is a real bonus and has a shaded area when you can relax and read on the hot summer afternoons. Nice bakery in the village and a large supermarket about a 5 minute drive away. Carcassonne itself is a beautiful town with loads of things to do and lots of nice restaurants, most of which appear to be very reasonably priced. Nothing bad to say, whatsoever. We had a great time and would have no hesitation in returning.

We booked last-minute the gîte "La Forge" and could handle everything in 1 day after a direct phone call with the sympathetic owners. They speak fluent English. On site we were given a tour, useful information about the area and the deposit was handled in cash. We received a refund a few days after the trip! The well-kept gîte was very spacious, fresh and had a TV, dishwasher, washing machine, oven and microwave. Super handy! (bring your own laundry product / tablets, extra clothespins are always handy). The beautiful bathroom had a blissful shower! Towels and sheets were provided. Relax in the pool where you can also rest in the sun or shade. Bath towels for the pool are to bring your own. To visit the area a car is a must. (airport 30 min drive)
Although it is very quiet, those who seek complete privacy are less at home here. The cozy gîte has no curtains downstairs, the terraces of the 3 gîtes are next to each other and the house of the owners. The Owner himself is very present on the domain.
Still, this is definitely worth a visit! Jean-Noel and Agathe welcome everyone with a warm heart.

We had a truly lovely 2 weeks at Domaine de Cure. Our hosts Jean-Noel and Agathe were fantastic, friendly, warm and made us feel so welcome. We stayed in the one bedroom la Calèche and the accommodation was exactly as advertised, perfectly appointed with all you need for a comfortable, relaxed holiday. There are lovely areas outside to sit and eat under the trees, a BBQ and a little family of squirrels to keep you entertained. The pool and poolside areas were excellent, offering sun, shade and relaxation. We would recommend a car, given the rural location however the local village is just a 30 minute walk away. There are beautiful towns and villages within easy driving distance to visit and explore. We give top marks for everything- comfort, cleanliness, location, facilities and above all the wonderful hosts. We will be returning.

We spent two weeks at this beautiful haven of tranquility. The location was perfect- the quietness, the birdsong, the beauty of the countryside but also so easy to get to the airport and Carcassonne. We greatly appreciated our hosts Jean -Noël and Agathe who were on hand when we needed help or advice on the many places there are to visit, and with the booking of restaurants. However we just enjoyed the location so much that we mostly barbecued on site and enjoyed the pool area. We have wonderful memories of our time at Domaine de Cure and definitely hope to return.

I came across this gem of a place on Facebook French group holiday let’s.
From the initial contact with the owners of the gite nothing was too much trouble. Gave every bit of information about the area. Then 2wks before they emailed a list of restaurants and places to visit. On arrival are cases wasn’t at the airport and when they did arrive we couldn’t get into one of them. But on hand was Jean-Noel to help break into it.
We did all the necessary paperwork and shown into our spotless 1 bedroom gite. This a self catering place so you have to provide your own basic items. There is toilet roll, coffee filters, dish washer tablets and an extra bin bag to get you started. You can then get the rest at many of the local stores.
The grounds are kept very clean and tidy lovely pool area with a fantastic view. Jean-Noel and Agathe are very lovely people we chose to sit with them most evenings and drank through his great wine selections that he has available to buy, which I have to say all excellent quality at a great price.
We arrived as strangers but left as friends. We can’t recommend this place enough.

The Domaine de cure is a fantastic holiday getaway. It’s located in the countryside, amongst sweeping vineyards, so a car for travelling is recommended. The nearest town is 30 minutes walk away and has a good resturant. A car is handy for driving to the bakery for wonderful croissants and nearby supermarkets for provisions.
The owners of the gite are very welcoming and a lovely couple. They are happy to share local information on attractions and restaurants with you. They live on site so are always available. He even has some wine for purchase at cheap rates and I can recommend all of them, red , white and rose.
The gites are well equipped and comfortable with everything you need for your holiday. Outside tables and chairs are wonderful for Al fresco dining or drinking under the shade of the covering trees. The very nearby pool is clean and refreshing, warmed by the glorious sunshine, with a decent covered seating, sun lounges and ample shade if required.
All in all a very pleasant gite with lovely owners. Would happily return when we are next in France.
For peace and tranquillity it’s just right.

The Domine de Cure was ideal for a couple like us who wanted a week's relaxation in calm, tranquil surroundings.
The view across the green and gold fields from the sparkling blue swimming pool was to die for.
We opened our bedroom window in the mornings to overlook a garden shaded by majestic trees and watched a red squirrel scamper along the garden wall below. Carcassonne is an easy drive. Narbonne and the sea are not too far. Minerve is well worth a visit. A BBQ entrecote and a bottle of excellent house rose often rounded off a perfect day. The owners are Jean Noel and Agatha. Jean Noel is an expert on the local wine and Agatha a mine of information on the French way of life.

The owners, Jean-Noel & Agathe were extremely helpful. Good communicating during the booking process and whilst we were at the house they gave some great tips on days out.
The nice property had all we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool too.
Many thanks to you both..

We had a lovely experience at Domaine de Cure. The gîte was well laid out, equipped and comfortable. The gîte was pristine. The pool and shaded deck were great in the scorching weather we had. Jean-Noel and Agathe are very good hosts and had good advice on sites around the area.

Very nice place, very comfortable, absolute calm. The secluded swimming pool contributes to this calm. Our hosts are always available for good advice and even some very good bottles. The region is very diverse and truly worth discovering.
