We stayed there for a night and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is well designed and right next to the walled city. The staff were simply fantastic and super helpful. In fact exceptional. My wife left her wedding ring and some diamond earrings in the room and after calling them, they found them and posted them to our next... More

I would probably give this hotel 3.5 if that was an option. It is wonderfully situated right next to the historic city of Carcassonne (literally a 2 minute walk away) with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. We had a 'deluxe' room which was very clean with good facilities (though no drink making facilities). However, it was very small and... More

We stopped in Carcassonne on our way from San Sebastián to Girona Spain. The location was perfect and the amenities of the hotel were wonderful. Our room by the pool was perfect. We walked onto the walled city for dinner and to sightsee the next morning. The view of the old city was spectacular especially at night.

We stayed on our way from Provence to Bordeaux and enjoyed the hotel, the views and dinner. For us, one night was adequate. We stayed in a small but very tastefully decorated room by the pool with an outdoor patio. While we were initially concerned with the possibility of noise there was no issue. The room had a mini frig... More

Our room was on the ground floor and quiet and good except for no fridge (bar drinks relatively expensive) and the smallest toilet and shower we have ever seen, too bad if you are a large person. Wifi was intermittent. OK breakie, usual European offer. Excellent staff very friendly and spoke excellent english. Two days is enough, not much action... More

Next to the incredible castle walls with a fabulous view, but no fridge in room, and expensive bar drinks compared to elsewhere, poor internet, great service from staff, but the smallest toilet and shower ever, luckily we are slim!! One to two days are enough, don't bother with the Canal du Midi cruise, if bored do a 1.5hour maximum trip.... More

Staying at The Hotel du Chateau was like a fairy tale. So close to the historic city, this hotel is tastefully and effectively designed, offering magical views of the chateau; both by night when you sip your glass of wine with the flood lit view of the chateau; throughout the day e.g. breakfast on the terrace. Our room was large... More

A superb hotel which we have no hesitation in recommending. We had the "red" room which was very red and took some getting used to, but it was very comfortable. The hotel is so close to the castle you can see when it is busy and decide whether to be a tourist and wander around or just laze by the... More

The room was very tiny and cramped. The staff were efficient and professional although maybe too busy to be particularly friendly. Rooms were clean but no coffee/teas facilities. I do not believe there was value for money.

We stayed here for one night having stayed at their sister hotel earlier in the year (The Montmorency). We love the vibe of this hotel. It's very comfortable, clean and the staff are very helpful. It's so convenient for exploring La Cité and the views are spectacular. The breakfasts are really good and the rooms are beautifully decorated and extremely... More
