Unbeatable location: literally next to Cite with spacious and cheap parking lot. Staying in medieval abbey is adventure itself, but comfortable room makes our stay even better. Bathroom is more like one in cruise cabin though it's good enough to take a shower after hot day in Cite. Family room is big with enough space and bunk bed for two...

We arrived at tourist information and they said that hotels were pretty full for a family room, so suggested the Monastery. Quirky but what a lovely reception, room was split into 2 one had bunk beds and the other a double. Plenty of room for what we needed for a night. The location is exceptional and we spent a lovely...

This was our second stay in a monastery during our trip and we knew what to expect. The Notre Dame de l’Abbaye provides very basic accommodation at a great price – as one would expect from a monastery! People at the reception were very helpful and we did not have any issue during our stay. Our room was somewhat small,...

This hostel, well hostel really, has received some pretty bad reviews, but as someone else has said they are obviously expecting the Hilton on the cheap. It is amazingly situated just under the walls of the Cite which is what Carcassonne is really all about. We had a room with wardrobe and washbasin, with toilet and shower facilities at the...

Only thing going for this is the location, our room did have a great view of the old Citadel and within easy walking distance of the local bars and restaurants. Car Parking on site which is only 3 euros per night which was also good. Bathroom very small (and we are not large people) - only 1 set of towels...

Dear J099, We would like to thank you for your stay in our establishment and tell you that we are sorry for the inconvenience. I read the reviews about this hostel on here, and was a bit apprehensive about staying there. Well, they are full of it. They are obviously expecting the Hilton for €18 a night. First of all, the location was amazing. You could walk to La Cité in not even five minutes. You could stay out late no problem, as they...

I stayed here for three nights. It's not your typical hostel, which is both good and bad depending on what you're looking for.  Good: rooms are cleaned and beds are made (and possibly sheets changed) every day. I didn't eat the food but my roommate said it was tasty and good value. Never had to wait for a shower or...

I agree with others that the only good thing this has going for it is the location. It is not worth 23 euros!! It is not worth 5! The worst bed I have ever slept in, the sheets were clean but the rest of the room wasn't. The communal bathrooms reeked of urine even after they were cleaned. The shower...

At 23 euro for a twin room with a flash deal, it would seem impossible to say that it wasn't worth the money. But it wasn't. The monastery has a great location right outside the fortress wall, but that's about all it has going for it. We arrived around 2:30 and were told we could not access our private room...

This is a former abbey, so the rooms are very small. The first night we were disturbed by folks checking in and squeaking doors until 1:30 in the morning. The next morning we asked for a different room and oil for the door and all was taken care of promptly. Breakfast buffet was very good for 5E. The morning of...
