This was our home away from home during our stay and I couldn't recommend it more highly. Located in the heart of La Bastide and a short walk from Place Carnot, this is one of three luxury apartments in a gorgeous building which dates to 1735. It's a listed and protected building which includes the original stone staircase. We were greeted and shown around by one of the managers Chris who was extremely helpful and had loads of tips and advice for us. The apartment certainly has wow-factor - it's huge and the decor is stunning with an eclectic mix of styles, both old and contemporary. We loved it and felt at home straight away. There are huge shuttered windows looking out on the charming street below, the floors are polished parquet and the original plasterwork and mouldings are still intact. The apartment is very well stocked with everything you could possibly need for your stay including coffee pots of varying sizes, proper wine and champagne glasses and even a Bluetooth speaker to listen to tunes. Not only that but we were provided with tea, coffee, milk, salt, pepper, olive oil and Balsamic as standard. Other apartment holders need to take note. It's a small thing but it makes all the difference. It can be such a pain to have to buy all your condiments when you're only going to use them for a few days. Thanks Chris and Peter. Oh and they very kindly left us a bottle of wine too. A classy touch. The bed was really comfy with good linen and the bathroom had a rain shower. It felt like the lap of luxury and we loved coming back here in the evenings to relax before heading out for dinner. Such a beautiful apartment. We never wanted to leave it. I loved the location - just fifteen mins walk from the touristy madness of La Cité but it felt a million miles from it. We much preferred La Bastide. One small thing - we would've preferred a door instead of a curtain between the bedroom and the bathroom but it wasn't a massive deal in the overall scheme of things

Lovely appartment in good part of town. Great shower in small but perfectly formed bathroom. It has a large and very comfy bed. Only downside to this appartment is the Very steep staircase leading to the bedroom. Very close to several very good restaurants which were recommended by the host in an informative folder. Our host Chris was very informative and helpful, even coming to our aid running us to the airport when we were unable to get a cab! Great stay in this lovely place.

I have stayed here twice in 2017. Great location not far from Place Carnot for lots of restaurants and shops to stock up the kitchen . Really beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with 2 sitting rooms, high ceilings , great kitchen and marvellous period decoration. Great correspondence with the owner Peter, and his agents on the ground Mark and Chris could not have been more helpful with taxi's and general advice. if you want a boring hotel don't stay here...if you want to be part of the local ambience, this is the place for you.

Very stylish apartment with high ceilings and original features (fireplace, cornicing etc.) but with added modern comforts. Nice touches such as copious DVDs and books, toiletries that smelled delicious, a small kitchenette with everything we needed for a short stay. We were met by one of the owners who was extremely patient and helpful, giving us lots of useful information. He had also set up 2 large fans in an attempt to cool down the apratment, as there is no air conditioning. These were fairly efficient, if rather noisy when we were trying to get to sleep, but this wasn't too much of a problem. The apartment is in a good location, handy for the main square and there are lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance, and the canal is not far away for boat trips, also the station for trips to Narbonne etc.. It took us about 20 minutes to walk to the citadel at a leisurely pace. I only have a couple of not-so-positive comments: the bathroom is very small and dark, and the towels were not very big (not large enough for after taking a shower). Also it would be nice if there was an outdoor space such as a balcony or courtyard for relaxing in the sunshine after a hard day's sightseeing (obviously there is nothing the owner can do to rectify this, I just mention it for prospective guests to consider before booking). Although the kitchen contained a small jar of coffee (and LOTS of packets of herbal tea) plus a bottle of milk in the fridge, it would have been nice to receive a welcome pack containing for example a small packet of butter, a large bottle of water and even a bottle of wine!

Loved our stay here - close to lots of restaurants and loved the style - fab décor, big rooms, original features etc. Plenty of space, comfy bed, hot shower (most of the time - we had cold water one evening but quickly rectified when we contacted the host) etc. Bathroom not v private - just a curtain between it and the bedroom so you probably need to have been together for a while to stay here! There are facilities to cook but limited - ok though to make a snack or breakfast. Nice touch that a bottle of wine was left for us - thank you. Host there to meet us and kindly let us park our hire car at the apartment which was very convenient - thank you. Liked the folder of good things to do and good restaurants close by - we tried a number of them and all good. Highly recommend for an original, stylish and well located place to stay.
