This city and this accommodation was totally unexpected and appreciated for its style and elegance. Our host was brilliant and the facilities first class. The location is perfect and in walking distance to everything that you need. I will be returning for a longer visit.

Easy to book. Chris was great meeting us on time and gave lots of good advice. Beautiful old building and lovely features in the apartment and the building. Bed was very comfortable and linen was very luxurious. Bathroom is small but really not a problem as bedroom a good size, hall way and lounge are huge. Lots of shops, cafe,...

My interaction with Peter was very pleasant, Pay Pal was too. We were met on time by a very nice friend of Peter's, I believe his name is Christopher? Lots of information left for us, also milk, tea and some spices were useful. Christopher? gave his # to call in case we needed anything was thoughtful. The location for "New...

Stayed at 42 Rue Victor Hugo for five days to explore the beautiful city of Carcassonne. Chris offered a warm welcome to the apartment and offered good advice re restaurants and shopping. The apartment is in an 18th century building boasting some original features, very high ceilings, tall shuttered windows, and doorways. The apartment is decorated in a tasteful contemporary...

From the welcome to the spacious, luxurious layout of the apartment, my wife and myself felt right at home at 42 Rue Victor Hugo. Situated a stone’s throw from the main square of Carcassonne, the B&B is located in a beautifully restored building which is broken into separate apartments. Chris was on hand to welcome us as we drove down...

We stayed here with three other couples, unfortunately only for two nights. It is amazing. Absolutely huge spaces - chefs kitchen, huge dining table and living areas. Bedrooms all have ensuites and most are enormous with their own living room as well! A two minute walk to the city square. Simply perfect!

I booked 42 rvh after reading other visitor's reviews online. From the moment we contacted the owner with our booking enquiry the service provided was excellent. On arrival the apartment was exactly as described and shown in the photographs. It is in an excellent location - just moments from Carcassonne's central Square, Place Carnot and only fifteen minutes walk to...

We were not disappointed and spent two nights at 42 Rue Victor Hugo apartment situated in the older part of the city just 10 min walk from the railway station. The apartment is extremely well equipped with a full kitchen, separate palatial dining room and grand main bedroom. The decor...

This really is a gem of a property. Conveniently located in the new part of the city while the old citè is within walking distance. Tastefully refurbished blend of old and new while retaining all the wonderful character of the building. Very well equipped apartment with anything one might require for a short stay. An interesting experience for 2 nights. VERY spacious--to the extent that it would be easy to get lost in the apartment. VERY central and a good location for Carcassonne and environs. Comfortable bedroom and good to see Scottish soaps in use in France! Downside in mega high temperatures was that there is no Air Con and only a fan in...

“All the rooms were stupendous - you can't fail to have an excellent one. Be prepared for a little traffic noise in the side adjacent to the street because you are right in the middle of a city. It wasn't remotely intrusive though. I would happily take a 'lucky dip' in future.”
