Value for money and Versailles don't always go together however we were extremely happy with this hotel we paid $250 NZD a night through booking . com and stayed 4 nights Sure it's old but the staff are amazing the rooms are clean and you can't beat the location so close to the palace and a great family restaurant enjoyed by locals 30 metres up the road Breakfast was good and although the walls are a bit thin we didn't get disturbed Older clients so quite generally Our room had lovely windows with shutters looking onto the courtyard Bed and shower both great

This hotel is within walking distance to the palace and the town center. Rooms are a bit dated but comfortable. Service was good as was the breakfast. Many good restaurants nearby although Versailles closes down early. Overall, a good place to stay when visiting Versailles.

We arrived at 11ish having made the journey from Caen (ferry port), our room was ready which was fantastic as we were exhausted. Located very close to the Palace and a short walk to the train station for trip into central Paris. The breakfast spread was excellent. Not immediately obvious that parking was not included in the price so stung with €50 charge before departing. Overall, very pleased with our stay.

We Got a narrow room on the ground floor dark with no atmosphere. The room was cold on arrival the bathroom was unheated and cold otherwise ok for one night. The staff was friendly and all spoke English. Breakfast was adequate but not 4 stars. WiFi was free but rather slow

The Good: Hotel Le Versailles provides excellent customer service! They ensured we understood how the parking system operates. As we checked out and headed to the Palace of Versailles, they offered to keep our vehicle parked in their garage until we left town for the day. That is a nice bonus in a place where parking is limited. Breakfast presents something for everyone. The quality of the food is excellent. Proximity to the Palace is hard to beat. Walk out of the hotel, then across a parking lot, and enjoy the Palace. The Bad: I feel the photos posted on trip advisor are a bit misleading. The room we stayed in was very, very worn and somewhat dirty. The room is commensurate with a 2 or 3-star hotel. It's hard to get past a dirty and overly worn room in a 4-star hotel. However, all other services surpass most 4-star hotels. There is certainly more positive than bad.

As previously mentioned, the location is excellent, particularly for the Palace of Versailles, which was the main reason for our visit. The hotel is nothing like the photos advertised and is tired, worn, run down in every aspect and really quite dingy and in places dirty. We had booked our two-night stay through Secret Escapes, who supposedly advertise luxury accommodation, but this fell so far short, and we have informed them of such. Car parking in their underground car park was impossible, as we have a larger car for mobility, but there was thank goodness a disabled parking space on the adjacent street and in France it is free with no time restrictions. Breakfast was alright, as we are both quite happy with continental, though there could have been a better choice of cereal (not cheap cornflakes) and fresh fruit. Unfortunately following Covid the cost of everywhere has escalated, but I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting accommodation as shown in the online photos.

As mentioned in every review the location of this hotel is ideal for visits to the Palace of Versailles but aside from this single positive attribute the hotel has little deserving of a 4 star rating. The building and rooms are aged and worn. The decor hangs crooked on the walls without care by staff. Breakfast is mediocre and not replenished when empty. This is a high cost hotel for less than subpar quality. We would not recommend this hotel to friends or family as the inflated price takes advantage of tourists.

Excellent location & excellent customer service by the lovely night duty manger last night Sat 24th September. Arrived late in the rain and he went out of his way to get us organised even getting himself wet showing us where the car park was. Very comfortable room and modern bathroom perfect for our overnight stay.

I stayed here with friends as we were attending the Grand bal de Versailles. Perfectly situated for seeing the sites. Staff very welcoming and the hotel was clean with nice areas to relax. Our room was very spacious and well designed. The handle on the bathroom door broke and the air con was not working. There is also no iron in the room but I never phoned down to reception to see if they had one as I didn’t need it in the end. Unfortunately the air con could not be fixed until much later on the Saturday. We arrived on the Friday. I ended up very Ill as I had nowhere to cool down and I had underlying health problems. The weather was record breaking hot which the hotel can’t control. It was so hot in the hotel that we had to get an early flight home and miss the event. The hotel very kindly refunded us for the Monday night and discounted us for the Saturday night. The room was 27 degrees which we were told they could see in reception. This should have been picked up on before we checked in as weather warnings had been issued. Overall if the room had been air conditioned then it would have been a more pleasant stay.
