Stayed here for a weekend and price isn't bad, room was tiny and washroom really run down. Staff were friendly but it was frustrating at breakfast when there wasn't enough food laid out for us and other guests wanting to eat and no staff member to be found.

The front desk staff were extremely helpful in arranging a taxi to the airport. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was very quiet, the wifi worked. We got a good night's sleep. The location was a few blocks from the chateau, but you pass by many restaurants, boulangeries, etc., which makes for an interesting walk.

Although "Home St-Louis" is classed as a 2 Star Hotel is should be seen as a B&B. My wife and I stayed here for four nights in February and found the accommodation excellently positioned for access to key tourist attractions but also sited in a quiet location of the city. The staff are very helpful and friendly and speak some...

The Home St Louis reflects Versailles itself. A town that looks it age, but doesn't realize it. The hotel could have lots of charm, but everything is ruined by the shabbiness of the place. The paint on the ceilings is flaking, the curtains in my room were dirty, having being showered with something that resembled coffee stains and the room's...

I wasn't actually supposed to stay at this hotel, but rather, at an affiliated hotel a little way away. The hotel that I had booked for had had an "accident", and so, I was moved to this hotel. It's dingy, feels dirty, and is tiny, for the +100 euros per night. The bathroom is tiny, and has a constant drip,...

Very quiet district of Versailles. 10 min walk to 2 train stations, 20 min walk to Chateau de Versailles. Room was adequate with unusual arrangement of WC in one corner (enclosed) and a shower + basin in the other. Staff helpful with adequate English spoken. Take your own kettle and mug if you wish a hot drink in the room....

Doing a lot of business travel I get to compare a lot and this one was really terrible. On arrival there was no reservation although i showed the confirmation to the receptionist (no English). After much debate there was a room but it was terrible. The room was small somewhere on the 2nd floor, it had a separate shower which...

I had stayed in this hotel one week, and i must say that it was a terrible experience. First of all it was very cold in the room, so i asked if they can turn on the heat, so in 15 minutes a nice lady had arrived with a screwdriver in order to try budge the jammed radiator mechanical switch....

We spent two nights at this hotel, and were met with friendly service, a nice clean room and an excellent breakfast. The only negative thing we can think of, is that the built-in toilet in our room had no extractor fan, so it had a bit of a smell. Everything else was great.

“Giving advice on choosing a room is too tough for me.”

“Choose the corner room on the second floor that looks ot over the streets - really nice, and a comfy bed, but needs a lace curtain at the windows for that time between day and dusk when its too light to close the main curtains, but privacy still required from residents of opposite buildings.”
