The staff was very friendly, and our room was nice. But that's the best feedback I can give. The pool is mainly indoor, with an outdoor sunning area, and there is a whole protocol to get in and out. The "casual bar in the lobby with snacks and light food" offers salads, sandwiches, burgers, etc. all starting at over 25 euros. And our food was mediocre at best; every meal we had in small Paris cafes and bistros was so much less expensive and such higher quality. We had to have our keys reset, because we got locked out, of our room, and we had to call to figure out the a/c, because our room was stuffy. Finally, we wanted to sit back and watch a movie before getting up for an early flight, and there were only a handful of French tv stations (fine), but not a single movie channel to be found. That just seems pretty basic.

Hotel's Favorite
We had a very nice experience in this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights to be able to explore Versailles Palace and Gardens thoroughly. And the location of the hotel can't be beat for that! The Neptune Gate is located practically around the corner. We booked priority tickets for the fireworks show (which was kind of waste in a way, didn't provide any value really - regular tickets would do just fine). But we were able to use Neptune gate to come in, and that was really great. The hotel is one beautiful property with a nice landscaping around. We booked a room with a garden view in the Palace building, and honestly I don't regret booking it - though it was significantly more expensive than the Garden Pavilion rooms. We were kind of upgraded (we are both Hilton Diamonds) to a corner room. It was basically the same room we booked. But it had two balconies! We really liked that. We didn't use air conditioning at all, as we were able to open one or both balconies. The room was very nice and somewhat spacious - especially for European standards. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean. The bathroom was also nice and spacious, and even had a balcony. It also had a separate toilet room. We got complimentary breakfast as Diamonds (I love to stay in Hilton's in Europe, that's where you really get a value from the Diamond breakfast!). The breakfast was great, with plenty of options, very fresh and tasty. We also had a dinner in La Veranda restaurant. And it was delicious. I see where people can complain about the service, as there were a lot of very young people working in the restaurant for dinner, and they didn't seem to be extremely experienced. But we are not concentrated on stuff like this, we didn't mind, and were happy that the restaurant was open even in spite of still COVID, and people were working for us! We had an issue with the hotel bill. Somehow somebody else's dinner and bar tap got charged to our room - so I was happy I always check the bills at check out. We didn't noticed the bar tap right away, so it didn't get removed properly. But the dinner was, and the stuff was apologetic about this event, they gave us complimentary parking - so we kind of broke even, as the parking is 29 euros a night. So overall it was a great and romantic stay! If we would come to Versailles again - I would splurge for this hotel again, it was totally worth it for us.

One of the best hotels I stayed in. Perfect location - just next to the Versailles, it's literally a few minutes walking distance and seen from the window. The rooms inside are magnificent and blew me away. The staff was also amazing and very helpful, special thanks to Erika and Hrystyna at the reception. The only thing I suggest to improve is breakfast variety, otherwise all was perfect

Absolutely stunning hotel. I would recommend a treatment in the spa. The food was gorgeous and the hotel is so close to the palace you could literally be Marie anntoinette. The hotel gave me lots of info about what was happening in and around Versailles and to be honest I preferred to be in the hotel. A lovely experience from start to finish and a great few days away in Paris

We recently stayed for one night. The positives: - spacious room in the adjacent Pavilion building with plenty of room for a spare bed for our daughter, good air con, comfy beds and lovely Aesop products - delicious breakfast - lovely outside bar area - great location The negatives: - small furniture wear and tear in the room - having booked a room with a view of the park, I had expected more than the car park and gravel at the front of the hotel - pricey parking - we were advised that a BBQ would be taking place upon check in but no mention was made that a DJ with incredibly loud music would also be playing. We went to the bar for a drink and to decide whether we wanted to eat at the BBQ / outside cafe, but given the prices (29 euros for a salad and 14 euros for a glass of wine) and a quick burst of the DJ's tunes, we went outside for dinner. We returned at 9pm to find the music really, really loud and very audible from our bedroom. I was told that it would stop at 10pm. At 10.15pm, it was still going strong and a very helpful member of staff attempted to get the volume turned down. After a couple of attempts, it was slightly softer and the DJ packed up by circa 10.30pm. Some would absolutely love this free addition - however a) it seemed totally at odds with the rest of the hotel offering and b) given its volume, customers should be made aware of this at booking. However, I must say that this was handled very well at checkout and our drinks were removed from the bill as an apology - thank you, this was appreciated.

Spent a night for our anniversary here. It’s really a great place to just get away out of Paris. We wanted to go to the Gordon Ramsay restaurant, but it was fully booked. Make sure you need to book early, if you want to go there. The room was clean, great mattress. Bathroom was renovated and they used Aesop products which I loove. The spa is great, the lifeguard offered kick boards and goggles which was fantastic. All in all, would definitely stay here again.

The beautiful well appointed rooms are matched only by the high level service provided by the staff. All were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located very close to the Palace (see my separate review on Chateau Versailles). The room was very comfortable with nice bed and pillows. The refrigerator had a shelf for “personal” use. Nice touch! Overall great experience and worth the money.

We stayed here for 3 nights which is probably more than most people would do considering that you mainly come to see Versailles Palace. We probably needed only 2 nights here but still enjoyed our extended stay. The hotel is literally across the street from the palace so location cannot be beat. And the hotel is very pretty both inside and out. We were not able to get a reservation at the Michelin restaurant there even though we tried booking months in advance but still had an enjoyable meal at La Veranda and found some good options in town to eat as well. The main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the air conditioning in the rooms is not good. They accommodated us and switched our room but still couldn’t get it to cool down - it was tolerable but not cool. Yes it was middle of summer but we stayed in 3 other hotels across France and had no such issues so this was specific to the Waldorf and not something we’d expect from a high end hotel. Nonetheless had a pleasant and nice stay overall.

We booked 5 rooms for a intimate family vacation and were very disappointed with our stay. I was accompanied by 3 other diamond members and did not receive the warmth of hospitality that you would come to expect of the Waldorf Astoria. We carried our own bags to our room which was in a building adjacent to the main building that you see in pictures which looks more like a dormitory that is built for meetings. We didn’t receive any welcome note from the GM, Director operations or a personal greeting to any of the 3 Diamond Members. The hotel rooms, F&B and operations is managed like a Hilton or Franchise hotel. The quality of the room and it’s furnishings are appalling and we were all very surprised that it meets the standards of the Waldorf Astoria (perhaps needs to be de flagged). The hotel was busy with a wedding and meetings and we couldn’t find a restaurant to dine as the venues were all taken up by large and noisy groups. The restaurant seemed like a banquet space with banquet furniture. The staff were not aware where breakfast is served and mentioned that it kept changing depending on the occupancy and wedding. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a leisure or luxury stay considering the leadership team doesn’t really care about its guest let alone VIPs.

One of the most beautiful properties I have every stayed in. My suite was lovely and had a view of the park. Sadly, the staff were less than helpful and had no sense of urgency especially in the dining area. I loved the location but was unable to enjoy the bar or dining area. I had evening tickets to Versailles and wanted to have a drink and a quick bite to eat before walking over. I made my request and was seated in the corner of the garden dining area. After 25 minutes, no one had been by my table to check in. I walked out and was not even questioned by the young lady who seated me. I checked out of the hotel without being able to use my food and beverage credit. When I went to check out, there was no one at the desk and no one to help with luggage. I will take the train from Paris and make it a day trip in the future.
