In the heart of the Eastern district of Paris, this hotel built in 1854 has been the privileged witness of the on-going evolution of this neighborhood that includes the Haut-Marais, Beaubourg and the Saint Martin Canal. Everyday is an opportunity to discover new address like a trendy boutique, an emerging art gallery or the latest restaurant run by a young and talented chef. The decor of the Hotel Providence personifies a typical Parisien atmosphere : fire place, architectural details, Pointe de Hongrie wooden floors, and marble mosaics. Thanks to its lively downstairs bar and restaurant guests will also have the chance to live like Parisians do and sit by the paved street lined with benches and flowers. La Cuisine : raw, marinated or grilled dishes on the wooden oven. The menu is simple yet refined. Rooms. 18 rooms including 3 Junior suites and a large suite that are individually decorated. Each room is upholstered with designer fabric and furbished with carefully choosen vintage furniture. They provide a warm setting and modern comfort. Televisions are replaced by the latest Imac and desks by a fully operating cocktail bar. Cocktail Bar : Every room is equipped with a custom-made bar that is modeled after its Parisian ancestor. The built-in ice-maker and the details of this feature makes it a unique asset to your experience. Guests are encouraged to take possession of their luxurious Parisian « pied-a-terre ». Under the Roof Top. A postal card view of Paris, its roofs and Montmartre.

    Mini-Moon in Paris
My husband and I booked this hotel for our mini-moon in Paris after getting married in England. The location of the hotel is quite central, with tons of bars and restaurants within minutes of the front door. As with most hotels in Paris, the rooms were quite small with limited closet space. I loved the wallpaper and ability to open the windows into a terrace overlooking the street below. Given that the room is so small, it was a strange design choice to have the majority of the room be taken up with a giant freestanding bar. Cool idea, but that space would be better used for a place to store clothes, or even a small sitting sofa? The staff at the hotel was very helpful, offering great dinner recommendations which we took them up on for multiple meals. We loved hanging out in the cozy lobby by the fire and having a drink post-dinner. Breakfast was nice, with coffee to order and a small selection of eggs, fruit, and bread. No gym, but there is a partnership with a nearby gym for a day pass, but it seemed pretty expensive to me ($30+ dollars a day). I wish that there would have been some type of discount or offer from the hotel? Either way, cool hotel in a great location. We will be back!

    A Great Find!
Arriving in Paris at 10:00 AM after an overnight flight, we were greeted by the helpful staff at Hotel Providence. Despite an afternoon check in time, the staff readied our room within one hour, permitting us to rest after we ate breakfast from the hotel's kitchen. The staff were perfect hosts, and recommended a good restaurant for dinner on the second night of our stay. We dined at the hotel restaurant on the first night, and found the dining experience quite satisfactory.

    Great little hotel
Stylish, comfortable, quiet (mid-week stay). Fantastic location near the Marais. Mr and Mrs Smith sell it as being in the Marais but it is not really more like Saint Martin. Of particular note a lovely and very large bathroom with lots of hot water although because the room was so big it was a bit cold! Reception were extremely helpful and friendly and spoke immpecable English which is always a bonus. Will definitely recommend it and would return.

We were fortunate to stay in this beautiful hotel for 5 nights. Although our room was tight, it was perfectly appointed and gorgeous. The staff was also amazing, particuarly George, the bartender. The hotel was well-located and felt really special. Would absolutely stay here again for our next trip to Paris.

Lovely Hotel & Rooms, very cute street , somewhat smaller than we imagined with regards to facilities but did not spoil our experience. Only one restaurant bar area for breakfast. Lunch / dinner on ground floor alongside the reception desk, terrace outdoor area however in the lovely quaint street outside the hotel several more good restaurant bars. Food quality was good, Marc the gentleman who served us was very polite and helpful. Thankyou. Bedrooms: Very beautiful decor, small space ( it’s Paris!) VERY little hanging space and only one tiny ( bed side size ) drawer to share for bits n bobs. The bar in the room is Uber cool , however we used it once purely for fun/ pics .. not needed and a good chest of drawers would be far better use of the limited space we think .. especially since they will bring drinks up to the room and the bar is right there in reception. Special thanks to Elisa on reception who above & beyond to be helpful with recommendations of places to see and always greeted us with such beautiful positive energy and smiles. A real star.⭐️ The area In General had a bit of a down market feel to it when we walked outside of our street and around to get a few waters from nearby shop … lots of gangs of men hanging around on the streets day in day out with not much to do .. just an observation and nothing the Hotel can do about this .. We literally took Ubers everywhere so this limited that experience for us. ( Uber worked great )

This was such a special place! The hotel itself was GORGEOUS, every inch of the place from the velvet couches of the lounge to the elaborate in-room bar was so well designed. Beyond that, the team really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. It was such warm hospitality and I appreciated it so much. We did the corner suite with balcony and it was truly a dream, I can’t wait to return!

Without doubt one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Parisian picture perfect. Gorgeous decor, amazing food and incredible staff. Breakfast on the terrace was incredible. Super professional and very friendly. Location is fab at the top of The Marais. Our bedroom was stunning with views of Sacre Couer from the bath! Couldn't be more perfect. Thank you.

The ambience of this place will make an immediate impression on you. The decor is vintage yet chic. Everything, from the choice of music playing in the lobby to the bathroom fixtures, is wonderful. The staff are equal parts helpful, cool, and cordial. Do not miss a night hanging out at the bar. The bartenders and musicians will open your mind to new experiences. You will find magic, mystery, and camaraderie there.

We got an extremely last minute room here after having to leave a different hotel we had originally booked due to several issues with the room. The staff were so welcoming and friendly when we arrived, pretty late in the evening. It was such a nice small hotel, cosy, beautifully decorated and with a nice bar and restaurant downstairs which we went to a few times. The rooms aren’t huge but we thought it was fine for size really, and loved the bar too (although we were a bit disappointed there were not a few cocktail ingredients complimentary considering the price of the room). The bed is probably the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in! You could tell the pillowcases, sheets etc were really good quality and so soft too. We had the Parisian breakfast which was included brought up to our room every morning on a big tray - great coffee and croissants, fruit etc too - it changed a bit every day. The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the nearest metro station too. The street has plenty going on for people watching from the windows, but wasn’t too noisy at all. We did hear the odd bit of noise in the night as it’s an old building with old windows, but nothing that bothered us really (and I’m a very light sleeper too.)

Charming boutique hotel on a cute street. The staff is very friendly. Although uniquely decorated, the rooms were much smaller than I had envisioned. The free space is taken up by a built in bar with stools. (Difficult to know from pictures on website) This area could be better used for a small bench or luggage rack..something a bit more practical in my opinion. Also, there was no outlet on one side of the bed in the room I stayed in so I had to plug everything in on my husband’s side. The bathroom was spacious, which was nice. Overall, beautifully decorated room, good sized bathroom, but the room felt a bit stuffy and tight with little free room to put belongings.

Hotel Providence has a great vibe, fabulous staff (yes, all of them - nothing is too much trouble - went out of their way to help). My room was compact but super comfortable (great king sized bed), quiet rooms, beautifully decorated and with a great rain head shower. The in room cocktail facilities are very cool! Convenient location with an easy walk into the best the Marais has to offer and a lovely bar / cafe downstairs. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Elegant and charming is the best way to describe Hotel Providence. I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel in early December 2022. My experience, from the comfortable room with the adorable balcony to the scrumptious dining, exceeded expectations. Not to mention, the scent of the bath products is absolutely dreamy. Of course, the best aspect of this wonderful hotel is the lovely staff. Everyone was warm, kind, and helpful. Thank you, Hotel Providence, for helping to make my first trip to Paris memorable.
