Luckily, my partner and I spent all of our time in the city and not in the hotel. The hotel was only used for sleeping in. We did not choose to have breakfast here. Although the room was serviced, it did not look clean even on arrival. It was run down and in need of some TLC. Room did have a TV but it did not work. The staff were very friendly.

We stayed in this hotel 2 weeks ago. I was slightly scared because of the awful reviews I read on booking.com and tripadvisor, But this place was a very pleasant surprise! The location is very good. Next to the metro station, some nice café’s and a bakery around the corner and opposite parc de la vilette. The parc is a very lovely place and it would be a great place to spend a sunny afternoon in the parc. It’s also conveniently located next to the pereferique when you travel by car. We parked via Just Park in the parking garage at the Mercure hotel, about 150 meters from the hotel. You can park at the hotel for 10 euro’s per half day. The staff was very friendly. We arrived early, so our rooms were not ready yet, but we storend our lugage, took a metro to the sights and got back at 1 in the morning. :) Although the reception was closed, there was someone around to check us in and give us the keys to the hotel rooms. The rooms were clean, both the double bed and the twin beds were very comfortable and clean. The room was a lot biggen than expected and although the bathroom was tiny, it had a toilet, a shower and a wash basin, so we were very happy. We stayed in rooms on the first floor. It’s an old building with a very long corridor, but we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend this place!

The condition was so bad that I was forced to leave with no refund. Hotel Agorno was very disappointing from arrival. The outside of the building is very run-down and you have to walk through a dark alleyway stacked with building materials to access the reception area (which is very cramped) - I would have been very uncomfortable using the alleyway at night as a woman on my own. Our room was on 3rd floor (no lift) and as you go up the stairs everything is very worn, there are lots of buggies in the corridors, and there is a strong smell of cooking. To get to the rooms, you take a very sharp, narrow turn through a doorway (difficult with bags) and then there is a very long, dark corridor - many light sections do not work, it is very loud with exposed pipes. Rooms were still being cleaned despite it being 2 hours after check-in time, and I had to step over piles of laundry in the corridor. The room was very small, very hot and a strong smell of mould. The wallpaper was peeling off in big sheets, there was a strong smell and visible mould on the walls and in the bathroom. Small desk but no plugs (have to run cables across the whole room). Wifi was non-existent. When I tried to connect, I was getting an upload speed of 0.02Mbps (x10 times slower than on my mobile signal) - it wasn't possible to load a google search page, and it was impossible to work. Tried another room on 1st floor with same result. THIS HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE FUNCTIONAL WIFI. They know it is a problem as the desk staff told me the wifi is in the process of being upgraded, but they are now falsely advertising that the property has wifi. As I needed to wifi to work in the evenings, I was forced to leave and stay at the hotel next door (Hotel Au Boeuf Couronne - excellent). The desk staff at Hotel Agorno tried to help where they could, but the management were very rude, brusque and they refused to issue any refund despite the advertised services not being available. I would strongly recommend to avoid booking the Hotel Agorno Cite de la Musique.

At the time of booking this was one of the cheapest places to stay in Paris (a couple in their mid 40s, used to travelling on a tight budget, who had booked for two nights in mid August 2018). We weren't expecting much for the money, really we weren't. However, we certainly did not expect the smell of sewage emanating from the room, the dirty, cracked and missing tiles in the bathroom, the cigarette burned and questionable stained bed cover (use your imagination), the dirt stained carpets and walls, and the rudeness of the reception staff. Seriously, very rude - despite one of us speaking passable French. This hotel was just dirty, worn out and unwelcoming. Cheap, yes. Worth it, no. That said, its location is handy - directly outside Porte de Pantin Metro station. if you're after somewhere mega cheap (by Pairs standards) to stay for the night (in other words, somewhere to sleep for a few hours and you're not fussed about hygiene), then this could be the place for you. But if you have any self-respect, or else you're travelling as a romantic couple - my advice is to avoid this place like the plague. Sometimes cheap just isn't worth it - and based on our experience, it wasn't.

I booked a quadruple room for my family in this hotel for 11 Aug to 14 Aug 2018. Well...let me tell you do not judge the hotel by the pictures they posted on the web. The pictures are photoshopped. It has no lift. The common premises are very shabby. The stairs are made of wood and feels like anytime it will break and fall down having no lights in different places. To my understanding they fool people with the fake pictures in the website. The room i booked was a studio apartment and did not have any crockeries!! Not even a glass to drink water!! I had to ask for it. There is no intercom service to communicate in the reception. The toilet is so small even my 4 year old son could not seat properly. Very poorly renovated. The staffs; specially the male one who gives duty at night is a scumbag having no knowledge or experience about customer caring. He was very disrespectful and ill mannered and overall super substandard. The room cleaning service broke the flash of toilet and left the window open when we were out. There are so many anomalys about this hotel that I barely can write. I was really disgusted and dissapointed in this hotel. I never recommend this hotel to anyone.
