Yes - Covid! So we booked (in November 2019) after months of comparisons for a "special" hotel for our wedding Anniversary in 2020 - Well we all know how terrible Covid was for the entire Hospitality Industry and we re-booked for next week. On a lark, I thought I would email the hotel to remind them that it is our Anniversary (do something/ do nothing OK with us, just thought we would communicate) - WELL imagine my surprise (horror) to find the hotel closed. I didn't receive any notification - and we are going for 6 days and paid about 4800.00 for the room, so, not an inexpensive trip. So I send them an email - to clarify what I am reading - and had a lovely response that they are not open "yet" but should be for our reservation, but they are not 100% sure?? - but promise to let me know ASAP. Well - Darn, that is terrible and then wait - Why have they not communicated this we me sooner so I could look for another hotel? To hold on to my pre-paid funds perhaps? I don't know - Anyway, No call, no email, no text - send me a smoke signal for goodness sake! So, I try to book on several sites - and the hotel appears to be closed until December. WELL, I email again saying that from poking around it looks like they are indeed going to be closed and again, why no communication? - We arrive on Paris October 3rd and I am guessing we have no hotel... NICE. OH and they have not refunded us - told US to cancel with our booking agent (Merrill Lynch) - Hmmm... OK, Oh also the "Manager" Fabio, knows another hotel manager and (due to the late booking) we can get a very small, non comparable room at his friends hotel (which is #1 on Trip Advisor - looks super nice, BUT not even close to the same type room - oh and we would have to pay more $$ for less.). So, I guess bottom line is we can either stay someplace less stellar and pay the same price as what we paid - OR Spend twice as much for the same type of room. I am guessing they knew long ago that the hotel was not going to be open in two weeks. I think it was really terrible to not communicate with us at all - Literally if I didn't email them initially, We would of shown up with our bags to a closed hotel. Literally. So that in itself is just awful of them as humans and that is disappointing and if that is their type of Customer Service - I guess we know why they are not "re-opening" post (mid) pandemic. Regardless if it's our Anniversary or just a random Sunday - people come to Paris looking for a memory - you gave me one. Bad Humans!

Right next to Rue Cler, walking distance from the Eiffel Tower, this location cannot be beat. Luxurious hotel. Initially our room was quite small and we chose to upgrade to a suite, and it was a wise decision. Staff very helpful. Location just great. Lots of Parisian vibes. Would easily stay here again.

Thank you so much to the staff at Le Cinq Codet for making our honeymoon stay with them so perfect. Big shout out to Laurent who checked us in for being so lovely throughout our stay, Derek at Congierge who had the most infectious smile and wonderful personality, was so lovely to be greeted each day by him and Pietro who worked in the Restaurant for making us feel so welcome each morning and doing so many little extras for us to help us with our stay. The advice he gave us on the local area to enhance out visit was great and much appreciated. We booked a Duplex room for 3 nights and the Dome Suite for the final night for our honeymoon. Both rooms were spotless, were serviced each day and bed sheets changed. Beds were so comfy and the bath was amazing. The dome suite was the most beautiful room and had gorgeous views of Invalides and the Eiffle Tower. The room has to be seen to be believed, was like a massive apartment. Any issues we had were rectified immediately and so professionally by the hotel team. Could not fault a single staff member, everyone we had an encounter with was courteous and kind. Breakfast each morning was lovely, very different to a typical "Ulster Fry" that we are accustomed to in Ireland but all the same it was lovely and typically french. Restaurant service was top class. Could not fault the attitude of staff or atmosphere of the hotel. We loved every minute. We hope we can return in the future. Many thanks for making our honeymoon so memorable!! Please pass our thanks on to the staff especially those we have mentioned as they made our stay so enjoyable.

Beautiful Hotel, very modern, very nice personnel and the restaurant was excellent. We also loved the roof top jacuzzi, but a shame that the hammam was closed. The room was a bit small but very well thought out and organized.
