The journey back to the Renaissance starts in the lift. The glass panel is a window through which you can admire a series of drawings taken from the various studies executed by Leonardo da Vinci. The hotel's 24 rooms are named after the leading figures of the Quattrocento. These include Botticelli, Raffaello, Michelangelo and Catherine de' Medici. The invitingly comfortable rooms are decorated in a style that takes in a great many references, such as a highly typical caqueteuse chair, or a dressing room with curved features, reminiscent of the wardrobes of the period. Almost half the rooms have balconies. Some look out over the hotel patio, a haven of peace and quiet, while others, overlooking the Rue des Saints-Peres, afford a glimpse of the Louvre nearby!

We spent 5 nights at the lovely Hotel Da Vinci, and recommend it highly. It is a small, elegant hotel. Fabulous staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was in the back, so there was no view but that did not matter to us. The room was small but not confining, with a beautiful and comfortable large king sized bed, dressed in white bedding with real down pillows and comforter. We appreciated that as we hate the polyester bedding so many hotels use. The room was nicely cool with a quiet indiscrete air conditioner. We loved the bathroom, and the shower is a dream, great pressure, a huge rainshower head and a large shower stall. There were two nice closets, and good lighting.
The spa in the basement is a real treat, very magical and beautiful, and great to swim or soak, with a fantastic overhead jet to massage neck or back.
Best of all, the location is perfect, two blocks to the Seine, the Louvre is right across the river, and a short couple of blocks to the heart of Saint Germain. Easy walking location but not in an overrun tourist location.

The property is small but perfectly formed, both in the rooms and in the public areas: they made the best use possible of the limited space (although they might invest in a few more hooks on the wall, especially in the shower room). Our room (202) faced the road, which is a major bus route, but was incredibly quiet thanks to two levels of double glazing. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The small amenities, like the always-available coffee and hot chocolate machine in the lobby and the bottomless jug of lemon and cucumber water, were real difference-makers. The location, just off Rue Jacob in the 6eme, was ideal: easy walking distance from the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, the Cluny, the Latin Quarter, Luxembourg Gardens and a lot of great shopping. The creperie across the road (Galette Cafe) had great buckwheat crepes and excellent Breton cider. On Rue Jacob there is Assanabel, a revelatory Lebanese restaurant, and Au 35. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was surprisingly comprehensive, especially considering the limited space to lay it out. In addition to the excellent scrambled eggs, bacon, beans and sausage (which we didn't discover for the first two days), they are willing to cook eggs to order. We didn't try the spa, but it looked nice. Highly recommended.

First, we found rumors of rude, unhelpful, Parisians to be totally untrue—once you leave CDG. The team at Hotel Da Vinci is triply warm, welcoming and friendly in attempting to assist with every request. A typically small space, every inch is used efficiently in a modern updated interior. The breakfasts are excellent and include eggs, bacon and sausage in addition to the very fine continental selections. They bring a great upgrade to the honor bar—a full bar is available off the lobby 5 pm to midnight. A wonderful bottle of sparkling wine was provided, the incidentals are reasonable and the spa access is included. Very good value! The support and concern provided during an urgent medical issue was above and beyond. Great experience—we’ll be back largely because of this great boutique hotel.

Over all our stay was fantastic. The level of service was exceptional. Due to Covid19 their services and meals were limited but that didn't keep them from providing excellent service. We requested the Mona Lisa room but it was located on the first floor and small for 2 adults and 1 child. Also the private terrace is located next to the hotel cafe area only separated by a sheet of wooden lattice fencing. We asked for something larger and they gave us a larger room equally as nice at no additional charge on a higher floor. The beds were a bit more firm than the average American mattress which made it hard to get comfortable. Very kid friendly the provided a small cot as well. It's also in a great location for shopping, cafe's macaroons and walking distance to the Louvre.

Helene on reception accomodated us at a busy time when I had somehow due to website error on Booking com arrived one month early. There was no extra charge and no flat refusal to help as you would get in many hotels.

The room was small but tastefully decorated The Spa Jacuzzi was excellent, really powerful jets in an intimate setting. The location is perfect for St Germain A lovely stylish boutiquehotel doing it's best for customers. What more can you ask?

We loved this place. The hotel and all the staff are amazing. This is not just another hotel. It is full of charm and history. It has a soul. The staff are wonderful.
The spa is not to be missed. You get your own private session (55 mins) but book your slots early.
Location is excellent. Short walk across the Seine to the Louvre. Get a 48 hour ticket for the Batobus (nearest stop at the Louvre) and this hop on/off boat ride takes you to a number of tourist spots along the Seine. Germain area with its fashionable shopping is also a short walk away.

Clean rooms, nice staff and quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast buffet was tasty and varied.
There was a little misunderstanding regarding booking of the Spa. A friendly suggestion to the hotel: Providing a written confirmation of the Spa reservation would reduce the chances of getting the reservation wrong.
The Spa itself is in the basement, a little moist and a slight smell of mould, but overall a relaxing experience.

It was a treat to stay at this hotel. We were greeted at check in by Honorine who couldn't have been more warm and friendly. The next day, when we went down to reception to arrange transport to the hotel, she remembered my daughter's name. The room was not spacious and there wasn't a lot of counter space for putting our things. But it was nicely decorated and clean, and the beds were comfortable. We were particularly charmed by the history of this hotel. Located in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area, when we stepped out of the hotel, the street was quiet even in peak tourist season. And yet, we were still near shops and restaurants. If you get a chance to stay here, make sure to take advantage of their spa and book a slot. It is a lovely experience! This is a hotel whose staff understands that it is often the little touches that make all the difference.

Our experience exceeded our expectations, and we plan to stay at this hotel again on our next trip to Paris. We were delighted. The entire Da Vinci Team is excellent: warm, courteous, kind, knowledgeable about the metro, and their English is very good. We arrived early and were immediately put at ease. We were greeted with a refreshing pitcher of water and our luggage was tagged for our room so we could go to a cafe for lunch. We informed the staff that we were planning a picnic at the Eiffel Tower and without our asking they made sure that we had utensils, napkins, and a blanket. We loved our room which had a balcony and housekeeping kept it exceptionally clean. The bed was also very comfortable. The spa is not to be missed: We arranged for a couples massage on the day of our arrival from the United States and it was thoroughly rejuvenating after an 8-hour flight. The honor bar is well stocked and although we didn't have breakfast at the hotel, it looked delicious. The decor is truly lovely, and history of the hotel is fascinating. The hotel is centrally located to the Louvre, Museum d'Orsay, the love lock bridge, and several great restaurants. Likewise, the Paris Opera House, Lafayette Gallery, and Sacre-Coeur are all within walking distance, as is the Eiffel Tower.

We had booked two rooms and arrived Sunday evening after confirming by phone the previous Thursday that everything was fine - even down to the individual we spoke to confirming the spa bookings had been made - only to discover that the booking for both rooms had been cancelled by the hotel the day of the call. No email sent to tell us it had been cancelled, no explanation why, and no help to find alternative accommodation - which we did at a very nice hotel close by but at more than double the price as you might expect when booking at 6pm for that day. We know the hotel is nice as some of the family had stayed there before but there are lots of nice hotels in the area, I just wouldn't take the risk that the room would be reserved for you given what happened to us.
