We stayed at the Hotel de la Paix for 3 nights in March. What a lovely change from hotel chains: the decor is fresh and original, the hotel staff was friendly and courteous and the location very good - just a block away from the metro direct to Gare du Nord and to the Airport. Would highly recommend it to...

This hotel was very charming and sweet! The decor was cute and the value was great for what you got! While not a four seasons, when I travel to Europe I am rarely in the hotel room anyway! The staff was very pleasant and helpful for the most part! There was one women who became very frusturated when we asked...

Paris being our last stop in mainland Europe before going back to London and then Australia, we did not expect that much from this hotel, but also because we know that we would not be staying much in the hotel anyway because of the enormous amount of tourist attractions in Paris. Upon arrival in Raspail metro station (the closest metro...

The hotel is not bad located and apparently looks nice. But normal rooms are really very very small, and one day we did not get hot water in the morning. They told us, the boiler has a certain quantity of hot water, so when the hotel is full, it can finish! And you pay 95 Euro per night... Moreover, the...

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, First of all, I would like to thank you for your review after your stay at the hotel, and please be sure that I understand your disapointment, if one day you did not have hot water during one hour ( between 10.30am to 11.30am ).For your information, that day, we changed our hot water system to...

We loved this hotel. We planned to stay three nights and ended up spending seven, thanks to a snowstorm that delayed our flight home. The room was small but spotless and very comfortable, and the hotel staff were without exception warm, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is near some nice quiet neighborhoods, as well as the big brasseries on Boulevard...

We spent 4 nights at Hotel de la Paix and definitely loved it! The location is great: just two minuts to Raspail metro station (with line 4 you can go to Saint Germain and Notre Dame in 15 min and with line 6 you can go to Tour Eiffel and Champs Elysee in 20 min) and 15 min walking to...

I was looking for a pleasant but affordable hotel in Paris for a long weekend and Hotel de la Paix hit the spot. It is pretty well connected to most tourist sites with direct trains to Gare du Nord by both Metro and rapid transit (RER). The reception area has a contemporary chic setting (see pictures on website) and the...

If I ever go back to Paris, I will without a doubt stay at the Hotel de la paix montparnasse. I was nervous about finding a good hotel, clean, good location and afforable in Paris. I have been to Paris before and stayed in some awful hotels that cost a lot more. This hotel is great, its small, has a...

This hotel worked out well for a weekend break in Paris. We know the city reasonably well, and often base ourselves in Montparnasse area due to its good selection of restaurants and shops and the ease of getting to/from CDG on the RER (get off at nearby Port Royal RER station). The hotel is very nicely decorated and has anb...

The location was great - a metro station was just a few steps from the hotel and nearby (within very close walking distance) were the Gare Montparnasse as well as RER serving stations, taking you directly to the airport. The room was very clean and pretty. We stayed in the junior suite, which conveniently had two bathrooms - one of...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
