Perfect place to stay in Paris. What a wonderful hotel that deserves a 5star ranking !! Employees were more than friendly and attentive to any recommendations we had. We used to visit Paris every year, from every hotel we’ve done. This was the best one ! Wonderfully located, amazing rooms, perfect atmosphere, incredible employees… If you want an hotel to stay in Paris I would definitely recommend Lumen!!
Believe them when they tell you the rooms are cozy. Book a larger room and enjoy your stay. The Lumen is centrally located, the staff is pleasant, and they offer an in house restaurant. You can walk to the Louvre and numerous tourist attractions. Do yourself a favor and use a "hop-on hop-off" bus to get around. Do not try to get into the Louvre without a timed pass. Go at night if possible.
It really was just perfect, location near Louvre and Musee do'Orsay, the Tuileries Gardens and the Seine. Weather was an added bonus, sunny from Friday to Sunday. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, good breakfast buffet and bedroom with street view and tiny balcony. Comfortable beds and excellent walk in shower.l
The hotel is centrally located most tourist attractions are very easy to get to. The staff were very accommodating, eg the hair dryer in the bathroom is not at all powerful so I had to ask for an alternative which they bought up to me straight away, the only thing I would say is I wish they had told us nothing was open on 1st May as it’s Labor Day and we were totally unaware of this and would have planned things differently. The room was lovely, we stayed in superior but the shower was disappointing as it was just hand held one and not fixed to the wall even though I was told we had a shower and a bath, I was expecting a shower you could stand under so would specify this next time I stay. We still had a lovely stay and will definitely return as the staff were very accommodating and location is excellent!! …
Loved our stay here. Great location - close proximity to the Louvre, Tulleries Garden, excellent restaurants and all the high fashion stores The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Highly recommend.
Great location by the Louvre and Pyramides tube stop. Hotel looks lovely from the outside and nicely furnished inside. Saw staff at check in who were friendly but never saw anyone again until check out. Bar is not open disappointingly. Our superior room was supposed to be one of their bigger ones. It was frankly tiny, ridiculously over furnished and you trip over it walking around the bed. Lose the table and chairs, put vanity until on wardrobe wall. Also three espresso capsules for duration of stay whether it is one night or three is frankly penny pinching. These should be replenished daily. Our room 105 was nicely furnished and bathroom a good size. Fortunately we could use stairs as lift painfully slow. Boy was it noisy though, make sure you take ear plugs.
What a delight to spend a few days at this hotel. Staff were very helpful, rooms very clean, modern and comfortable for a short stay. Ideal location for the Louvre and surrounded by very good restaurants within a short walk. Only downside the trips we booked all seemed to depart from the area around the Eiffel tower so as we were not confident with the metro taxi were a little on the expensive side. Thank you to the staff for a lovely birthday.
It's just what you need for a city break! I took a single room and it was big enough and not tight like most places. Some practical improvements could be made though, like space for hanging longer items of clothing and a practical spot for make up :) Staff are friendly and helpful.
We stayed here for a short trip to Paris, the hotel is very chic, small welcoming reception area which has been decorated wonderfully. The bar/breakfast area is lovely, lots of interesting pieces of art work (which are available for purchase), floor to ceiling windows making it very light and airy which is always a bonus. The room is welcoming & cosy, a little desk space, coffee/tea making facilities, safe & hanging space. The room was cleaned daily, plenty of towels available as well as bottled water available in the room. Located on Rue de Pyramides, you are 2/3 minutes walk from the Louvre, plenty of cafes/shops/pharmacies around as well for everything you could need.
overpriced for the condition and services offered. Rooms are noisy and the decor is damaged. The breakfast is not one of a 4 star hotel. Location is great but that is all. Quite disappointed with facilities and service
