Stayed here with a friend while spending two days at Roland Garros. Great location for the tennis (not really for anything else though as travel to/from city a bit of a pain). Although initial impression was great, there was a quick come down during checkin. After asking for a twin set up, I was assured it would only take ten minutes to get the room ready and that we should just wait in the lobby (which strangely lacks any air conditioning). Well ten turned into 30mins when all we wanted to do is drop off stuff in the room and head straight back out (after telling this staff several times). No apology, nothing to make up for the delay... just a set of inexperienced (and very young) staff put in charge. Simply unacceptable given the pricing and (apparent) 5* label on the front door.…
The pools are fabulous and deserve 5 stars. But we were kept awake at the weekend by the DJ above us at the rooftop restaurant/bar. I’m not sure a rooftop DJ playing late into the night is compatible with the hotel function of the building, the basic purpose of which is to provide a place to sleep. We did complain at the time each night (the first night it was after midnight) and the reception staff were very understanding and agreed to ask the rooftop to turn the music down. So full marks to the reception staff. But nil points to the management. The only other niggle was extremely slow hot drinks service at breakfast and no coffee or tea offered at all one morning. So a caffeine-free breakfast, great if you’re on a detox maybe. Again, this was not the fault of the staff, who were working very hard. I would suggest the hotel management could provide self-serve coffee and tea machines, as many 5 star hotels do in a high quality way these days. The location was perfect for us, in a leafy residential area with many great local restaurants within walking distance. To sum up, 1 star for the night noise and lack of coffee at breakfast, 5 stars for the amazing, beautiful pools, this averages out at 3 stars.…
My wife, almost 8-year-old son, and I had a fantastic visit to the Hotel Molitor 15 to 20 April (Friday to Wednesday). Of course, this was mostly because of the heavenly Olympic-sized heated pools (one indoor and one outdoor, featured in the movie “Life of Pi”) that were literally the center of everything. But it was also because the hotel was the perfect home base for our touristy Parisian adventures. In keeping with my TripAdvisor review style, I offer the following additional feedback: Location. The location is perfect, less than a 10-minute walk from the Metro and next door to Roland-Garros and Parc des Princes, which worked out well for us to catch PSG’s Easter night match-up against Marseille. Charles de Gaulle Airport is about an hour away by regional train/Metro. Longchamp Racecourse is only 3 kilometers away. All the city tourist sites were never more than 30 minutes away by Metro. Disney was an hour by Metro/regional train. Perhaps the coolest thing is that the hotel is across the street from the Paris-equivalent of Super Walmart – Carrefour. Staff. Everyone was super nice and made us feel welcome. It was clear the hotel has a great thing going, and every staff member is happy to be employed there. We arrived early Friday, and the awesome concierge team tended to our bags while we went to the Eiffel Tower before checking in that afternoon. We especially appreciated the bottled water the concierge gave us before each day’s escapades. Rooms. Our large room with king bed and roll-away twin for our son was nice and always clean. Our view of the pool was straight out of the movie. The balcony doors opened halfway if we wanted fresh air, but the balcony itself was not accessible. Still, again, great view of la piscine! Pool. We swam every day in the outdoor pool – in the middle of April, remember – and it was as invigorating as the movie suggests. It was a little crowded, but not intolerable as it’s so big. The indoor pool was nice, too, and a little warmer. Restaurant/Bars. Breakfast was fine but overpriced so we only ate it once. Same with dinner, so we ventured out all but one night. Still, here again, the friendly staff was very kind and twice heated up our cold prepared meals we purchased at the Carrefour. The rooftop was closed for renovations, but the staff gave us a glimpse – it’s going to be grand! Excursions. Eiffel Tower Friday. Arc de Triomphe and the Catacombs on Saturday. Family Day at Longchamp and the PSG game on Easter night. PSG Stadium Tour and River Tour on Monday. Disneyland Paris (crowded!) on Tuesday. Everything was easy to get to and went off without a hitch. Tips. (1) Book excursions in advance. You’ll be waiting for hours if you don’t. (2) Take good walking shoes. There are not too many fat people in Paris for a reason. We walked more than 7 miles a day. (3) Remember to buy your Navigo passes (includes Metro and regional trains) at the airport for every day except your last day in Paris. Taking the train to the hotel is fine, but who wants to take it back to the airport in the middle of rush hour with luggage? Our Uber to CDG was 58 Euro with tip. Too easy. (4) Remember Parc des Princes may be a 3-minute walk from the hotel, but you enter the stadium according to your section. It took us 15 minutes to walk with the crowd to our designated entry and exit point. (5) Going to a PSG game? Get your tickets early as the prices will go up. The ones we bought were double the price by game day. (6) Prepare to spend extra money at Disneyland Paris on Premier Access/Standby Pass – otherwise, you’ll wait at least an hour per ride. (7) Visit the Carrefour often for your food and drink needs – you’ll save a ton a cash. (8) If there is still a COVID test requirement to re-enter the United States, remember to get tested the night before you leave at one of the many pharmacies in the city. The process is very easy, including adding the documentation they provide to the United app. Bottom Line. Just book it. We used United Vacations, so the holiday was a package deal. For the money (and the pool), it’s easily the best hotel in Paris. Especially if you have kids, I guarantee you’ll thank me later.…
We were in Molitor for a weekend stay and we were absolutely amazed by the stunning design of the hotel, the very spacious and comfortable room, great breakfast, but mostly the lovely service we received from the staff. Always very nice, positive and going the extra mile to help you and make your stay as comfortable as possible! Thanks to the Team and big congratulations to the Management!
Well, you know the large prices for the tiny rooms in Parisian hotels. Molitor is a good choice, especially if you travel by car. With public transport it is a bit tricky and you will add taxi bills. The room rate is in the high range, but you pay for the pleasure to stay at an icon of the 20th century Paris and be able to use the heated outside pool. All in all, I felt more in a 4-star Novotel-type hotel than in a 5-starrer, given the spartian room and bathroom design.
Chef Salah and Valerie treat me wonderfully for this late dinner. The supreme de volaille was Valerie’s recommendation and was executed to perfection by chef Salah. A very nice and kind evening away from home
Service at the club and the spa has greatly improved since a few months. Special thanks to Ariestini and Cyril 👏 Checked the roof top bar before the summer but was desappointed by the service that is not in line with the price of drinks. The place is great...you could do much better
Fabulous Bar in Hotel Molitor thank you very much at Elie, Steven and Cris the staff is friendly and very nice I enjoyed this moment the hotel is beautiful place keep going merci beaucoup see you next time
Very nice hotel, near big Forest and located in South West of Paris. Very good breakfast with frech Food Room is nice with good quality of materas Two pools (out and in door), which is good when you are with kids. Terrasse Restaurant is good too.
The first picture I have seen that drove me was the river and Eiffel tower view. Hotel furniture dilapidated the carpet was dirty smell badly they blocked 3450 Eur about 1200 Euros above my invoice and not return back until today the internet was very slow and bad however the staff respectable and professional so kind also and helpful we lost the AirPod in the hotel but unfortunately they could not find it
