Don't be fooled by the pictures on hotels.com. The rooms are being renovated, and few were as in the pictures. The management of the hotel are nice and extreemely serviceminded. The area is ok, but stay away from boulevard strassburg and metro station chateau d'eau.

We stayed there for 2 days. Closed to metro station, convenience with supermarket nearby. The room is clean but it's with strong smokey smell. We suspect the cleaner smoking in the room or during cleaning period. The bedsheets and blanket with smokey smell too. Otherwise everything is good

Lovely quaint hotel with just a short walk to metro station Saint -Denis. Ok, it's not the ritz but at a very reasonable cost this was perfect for our short break. The area around the hotel has loads of bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance. It looks a bit shabby from the outside but although dated inside our... More

On the good side: The hotel is really basic, so don't expect anything fancy or modern. However, for the money you are paying is totally worth it. We stayed in a quadruple room for 2 nights and it was comfortable. The room was clean and big for Paris standards and we had everything we needed it, since we only slept... More

The Palace Hotel has a good location, about 15 minutes' walk from the Gare du Nord (for Eurostar) and is in a quiet side street. it's also very close to the twin ceremonial arches of the Porte Saint-Denis and Porte Saint-Martin, which are worth seeing. the area has plenty of bars and cafes, many of which serve food until quite... This hotel is a really pleasant surprise! First of all, the location is fantastic, near the Strasbourg - Saint Denis station, which is directly connected to all the most important places in Paris. Notre Dame is within walking distance, as is the Louvre, Centre Pompidou and Gard du Nord, which is very handy if you're arriving from the Charles de... More

Recently returned from the Palace Hotel after a 4 day stay. Hotel was in a great location to explore the city on foot. Basic hotel but clean and the rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels given. Room was comfortable and the en suite facilities were fine. Staff were also very pleasant and helpful, any question asked they were... More

Great location, extremely comfortable and clean room with en-suite; we appreciated having clean towels every day, and the generous breakfast servings, which ensured we had the energy to explore all day. The building does not have a lift, but the manager assisted us with our luggage, so that wasn't a problem. He was also a fund of knowledge and suggestions... More

A recent weekend trip to Paris and stayed at the Palace Hotel. Upon checking out, there was a little problem of using credit card payment. After enter the PIN number, the transaction apparently didn't not went through; so the hotel manager asked me to re-do the card payment.
