The Amour sells you nothing but charm. By nothing, I mean nothing: no service, no reasonable price, no included breakfast, no friendly face, no amenities, no easy transport and no quiet room. But you will get a lot of charm, and that is why I keep on coming back. It is one of those hotels you will either love or... More

This hotel won't be for everybody, the customer service is a little slow and there are no phones in the bedrooms to ring reception! We Loved it! It offers a very authentic French, romantic experience. Perfect for a couple get away. The food was fantastic. The rooms are really cute, we had a traditional one rather than the more modern... If you enter the hotel you are defintily in Paris. Really authentic design and there are a lot of french people eating there. Seems to be a hot spot for dinner and cocktails. But the great thing is you can't hear any noise in your room! We stayed at the 3rd floor next to the elevator and it was very... More

This quirky place is losing its edge mainly thanks to really poor customer service. The staff were incredibly rude and very unhelpful. Restaurant service was unbelievably poor. Food overpriced and disgusting - bad coffee and undercooked eggs for breakfast and tasteless main course. The receptionist called a taxi for us but failed to tell us that - or that it... More

What I loved about this place: - Love our room - it was quirky and very different. Our view over the street really felt like we were in Paris - There is a courtyard which is part of the restaurant, it's such a great space even in November! - Our breakfast was delicious and good value What let it down:... We have travelled on holiday with friends to Paris, France from Australia. We love our coffee at home in Sydney and were worried about the French Cafe scene not being as good as home. I can say it is different, more focussed on great fresh produce and local food, in fact we loved the food - this is why France... More

It was a lovely hotel, wouldn't suit a family, but great for singles or couples, there is a restaurant and bar that get very busy by night. Amazing terrace, very green, loved it!! Staff is so friendly and helpful!!

Located in the border of the 9th district next to Pigalle and the red district of Paris, I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend. Because of its location I was at first a bit skeptical about the whole thing but as it was another surprise of his, there I went... At first we had diner in the patio of... More

I booked a single room as I was travelling alone (my previous two visits were with my partner, and we tried both a medium room and a suite), and it was honestly a bit bigger than I expected! Still has a double bed, just pushed against the wall this time. The space was very well designed so that I did... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
