Arrived to a very cold room and the door to the toilet could not be closed. I never found the bathroom. Never again. I have stayed at hostels before and enjoyed it, but this hotel is the worst for many years!

Comfy and friendly hotel in central Paris. We were recommended this hotel because they accommodate cyclists and their bikes; a rare find in Paris. Choose room 207 for a spacious pad with ensuite bathroom and typical French balcony windows. Don't be put off by the reception area which is tired, our room was clean and provided a great central base.

Wonderful experience, amazing central location. Too many hotels in Paris with this location have moved up market, too expensive and too fussy. This is an artistic hotel, the type that real creative people stay at, the kind of hotel that creative types can afford. What makes this hotel extra special is the manager Charles. Charles is very friendly and helpful....

A small 3* hotel in Paris, but with a great central location. Room was small but clean, with a shared loo and shower room a few paces down the hall. Stayed for 2 nights and would recommend this place for budget travellers not worried about room facilities but who want to stay in a quiet location a few minutes walk...

We found this hotel because of it's geeky name association with star trek. We were delighted when we found how friendly, knowledgable and personable the proprietor was. He even gave us a courtesy call when we got up late for our party. As a local he guided us over the maps with in depth directions. He was very accommodating. The...

I booked a room to share with a friend, beds were clean & confortable. Even if toilet & shower aren't in the bedroom, it's cheaper than a youth hostel and cleaner for sure! It was a good option for Paris.

Picard is toward the northern end of one of Paris's most vibrant districts, the Marais. Many wonderful little restaurants, bars and brasseries. The hotel is classed as two star I guess largely because the rooms are not en suite but you get good value for money as a result. Try Rue du Fauburg du Temple near place de la Republique...

We have stayed at hotel Picard on numerous occasions and always return . We always email them directly and have never had issues with our basic accommodation . We book a room with an ensuite facing the street. We love the area and this hotel is so economical that is allows us to sleep in a comfortable bed in a...

I would strongly recommend people to confirm directly prior to arrival. When we get there I was so surprise that reception did not even know my name. I booked online thru Hotels.com and I have no idea what went wrong with their system. I just got lucky they have 1 spare room for the night. I don't think I got...

Hotel Picard is a small, friendly, family-run hotel on a quiet, lovely street in the Marais. Great location! Its cozy, clean and comfortable rooms offer a particularly good value. Elevator and wifi are included and a good breakfast is offered for a small additional fee. Best of all, the owners and staff are wonderfully helpful and accommodating and make it...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
