Conveniently located across the street from the Gare De L'Est this is a small Paris hotel like many others. Tiny but clean rooms, poor to non-existent soundproofing, some street noise even on the sixth floor, croissant and tartine breakfast, civil but unsmiling staff on the door, working TV and shower, free Wi-Fi, all rather faded. The lift will take one...

One would have to be very forgiving in a lot of aspects to consider this hotel a good decision. I booked this because it was a busy month and I didn't plan ahead well enough to find anything else. It was a warm couple of nights yet the complete lack of airflow inside made it unbearably muggy without the window...

We had a really nice stay at the grand hotel de l'europe. It's super close to the gare de l'est which basically allows you to go anywhere at any time. There's restaurants and bars around, too. We arrived early in the morning and they offered to store the bags until we could check in so we wouldn't have to carry...

Our hotel room had plenty of space and was clean, not the most up market room but comfortable and warm. The staff at reception were so incredibly helpful and friendly and spoke really good English which is also helpful. Excellent location being right next to gare d'lest station. Heaps of restaurants and bars to eat/drink at. We enjoyed our stay.

Negatives: Lift was broken. Room - very basic and small. Not very clean. smelly in the shower area. Amenities - nothing worth mentioning at all. There just were no amenities. Basically check in, get some sleep, wake up, shower and get out. Pros: Location - 7 minute walk from Gare du Nord and 1 minute from Gare de l'est. Staff...

Starting with positive thing is definitely the location. Very centralized between many sightseeing in Paris, Metro stations are near, perfect if you travel to Paris by train because it is very near to Paris Est station. Feeling when you get in the room is not good, the room was quite tight for 3 persons, it is very clear that this...

Very good location, just half a block from the subway station Gare de l'Est and 1 block from the train station Gare de l'Est. Near the train station Gare du Nord. Very good option if you arrive by train or are leaving by train. The price may seem a little high, but that's apparently around Paris, so you could say...

I had a really good time here. My room was nice and the hotel is perfectly connected to the centre of the city. A bus stop (also for night buses) is just in front of the hotel door and the metro is in Gare de l'Est (2 minutes walking, but there is even a stop next to the hotel... and...

Needed two rooms while our college-aged sons visited during winter break. Grand Hotel de l'Europe's rate was in our price range. It's a 10-minute walk to Gare du Nord (Eurostar) and a 5-minute walk to Gare de l'est or the Metro makes its location perfect. It's a basic, no-frill hotel with a typical Parisian breakfast of croissants, rolls and coffee....

This hotel is on a very good location. It is about 10 mtr away from a subway station and gare de l'est is right across the street. The room is small, basic but comfortable and clean. I really liked the power behind the showerwater, it was not a drizzle like in a lot of other hotels where I have been....
