The good: The hotel itself is clean and it seems that it has been recently renovated. The location of the hotel is perfect. It is literally located 30-40 meters from the Saint-Lazare metro and train station. Galerie Lafayette is a walking distance away as well as many restaurants, bars, covered parking options, ... . The staff was polite, the breakfast was good and the room was big enough for the three of us, assuming that one doesn't expect too big a room in Paris. The bad: The AC in the room was mediocre at best. The air coming from it was cold, but it's amount was insufficient to cool the room properly. Mind you that we were in Paris when the temperature was around 40 degrees Celsius and our room was at the top floor. The temperature in the room was set to 19, but was actually never reached (27-28 degrees at best). The one at the reception and the dining area were proper ones. We informed the stuff, but the issue couldn't have been resolved in a timely manner - we only spent 2 nights in the hotel. The other issue was the lack of possibility to get additional key card which was inconvenient for the three of us as it is needed in order to use the lift too. IMHO it was on the pricey side taking into account the named inconveniences.

This hotel is comfortable and located in an area near a train station and many restaurants and shops. The staff is professional and attentive and the breakfast is good. Some attention to detail by the housekeeping staff is needed, however, as my room had cleanliness issues each day of my stay. Overall, I can recommend this hotel.

We were very pleased with our stay! The hotel is on a very busy street across from the train station. Upon arrival, we were a bit concerned about noise as our 2 rooms faced the street, but we were pleasantly surprised by how well insulated the windows were and when closed blocked out almost all noise. You will need to carry your luggage up one flight of stairs from the main lobby to the elevators. The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, and AC worked well. We would recommend this property to others.

I visited this hotel for business and had to book pretty short in advance. maybe for this reason it was quite expensive. For Dutch understanding the per night price is on the high end, but for Paris it’s oke. I must admit, the room was quite good, comfortable in temperature, clean and enough space. The bed was good, pillows are good as well. Upon arrival there was a little incident with the night receptionist that was in his first shift ever, and a mix-up in rooms, but it was solved and the next day, handled very well. The breakfast was not very extensive, it was all there but not very convincing. All in all, it was oke. But price vs quality, being from the Netherlands, was not in very good shape

Dear Madam, We thank you for also sharing your experience with the Community of TripAdvisor. Once again, we regret this unlucky confusion upon arrival, and we are glad to read that our team managed that you could appreciate your stay after that. We are delighted to read that you find our House well maintained and located. The price went up for this period of the year due to Rolland Garros, the tennis contest. For your next stay in Paris, we invite you to contact us directly in order to enjoy the best offers and rates. The hotel will close for refurbishment this summer, and we will offer new service for the end of 2019. Best regards, Roxane E.

Excellent location very close to the station. Lots of restaurants to eat in nearby. the hotel was reasonably priced for this area. Room was fine and there was a good powerful shower. WiFi was fine. Room was quite stuffy though as there was no air conditioning* and I imagine this could be a problem when the weather is very hot. I didn’t ea5 breakfast in the hotel so can’t comment on it.

Dear Traveller, We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay in our House. We thank you moreover for your time publishing your review. Concerning the airconditionning, be assured that we have AC in all of our rooms. The very changing and cold weather in Paris these last weeks delayed the start-up of the AC, in order to keep the heat for the cold nights. We are looking forward to welcome you again at the Phileas hotel ****, and we all remain at your entire disposal ! Kind regards, Roxane E
