I was very pleased with this hotel. It was about a 5 minute walk from the Gare de l'Est and about a 10 minute walk to the Gare du Nord. It made traveling around Paris very convenient. The room was a good size, larger than many European hotels I have stayed in. It was very clean and the bed was... More

I read alot of review after booking this hotel and I was expecting something really bad. Hotel was recently renovated and looks very modern. Yes it's only got one tiny lift but that's the end of world. Corrdors are narrow but they well lit. I've got no complain about the hotel. Also some people mentioned that it's very noisy with... We booked this hotel to use as a base before heading off to Reims for a champagne tasting tour, wanting something slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the Gare de Nord and wanting the slightly more stylish mark of the Mercure brand. How wrong could we have been. The place was a building site that went from bad... More

Renovations are in place at the hotel, we weren't told this. We weren't told that the bar and restaurant wouldn't be open. We booked through Expedia. Workmen came in at 8am drilling and banging which woke us up twice. Mouldy carpet. Room built around noisy lift with squeaky door. Water turned off in whole building without telling us. I can't... We stayed here for one night as it is very close to Gare D L'est and Gare De Nord. It is ok for one night when you need to catch an early train. The room is small for a twin room but there is a kettle and a bottle of water in the room. We didn't have breakfast as there... More

I stayed here in June 2015 for 3 nights with my Fiancé. We were happy with the location of the hotel. It is located in a smaller side street just off the main road, which meant that there was very little road noise and ensured a peaceful night sleep. make no mistake, this is not a great hotel in a nice location. The Mercure is a short walk from the North and East station and convenient for those who travel by train and arrive late, or leave early. Venture west and south-west at your own risk: the area especially in the direction of the Poissoniere metro can be unsafe.... More

Stayed for a few nights on business recently. The hotel is set just off Magenta and has a small footprint typical of a lot of Paris hotels. Only serves breakfast and room service. Rooms again typically compact but clear and quite quiet even with the window open. Free wifi at low speed. Great for quick access to Gare de L'Est,... More
