Cheap, Clean and comfortable.in a good location (centre of Paris) perfect for a couple nights stay on my own. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I was on top floor so lots of stairs to climb. Other than that a very enjoyable stay, I would stay again if I was passing through Paris again

Very well situated communication wise, but the area seems a bit dodgy. But if you spend all days touring around Paris it's a great place to stay. Mostly it's very clean and inexpensive. The downside is definetly the stairs - very narrow so you may have a problem with a bigger suitcase. There are a lot of restaurants and caffes... More

This hotel is just around every corner of the landmarks you want to see when you're in Paris. You can just walk everywhere you go. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. The unfortunate thing that I encountered was I am on the 6th floor and there is no elevator in the building- so I have to drag my suitcase all... More

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst travelling. Upon arrival of the hotel we got told someone else was staying in our room so got changed into a different room. The shower facility wasn't great and the area wasn't the safest area especially on the night however for a bed sit it was okay and was close to the train station... More

No elevators, no lifts, no telephone, no service; shower and bath rooms were somewhere in between levels on stairwells; if your room is on a higher floor, 5th or 6th, you would have to carry over or drag your baggages all the way up on narrow stairs; hard to describe our feelings and nightmare; a shabby hotel in the heart... Enjoyable stay for 2 nights. Area could be deemed as dodgy but there are a few good bars and as long as you keep your wits about you you'll be fine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel stairs are in need of repair and the rooms are small but it suited us fine!

This rickety hotel located on a side street full of strip joints is not a good choice unless you are in Paris to party. The stairs are wobbly, the rooms smell and there's a general air of decay. Drunks were making merry outside until all hours of the morning. In fact, there was a passed out "guest" in the stair... More

This hotel is terrible. We have used many budget accommodations in our travels around the world but we had to leave after the first night. The hotel is centrally located but so is The Best Western for a few dollars more.

Stayed in this hotel for three nights for the French Open tennis. Ok hotel. Basic. It was only €135 for three nights. Staff are very friendly with giving guests directions. They dont service your room until you stay a second night. Sockets were coming off the walls too. Staff very friendly offering me adaptors and umbrellas. Also a fridge in... More

Four of us have just stayed at this small hotel in central Paris. We just wanted somewhere within walking distance of the main attractions, cheap, clean and friendly and we found it. Yes it is in the red light district however this didn't detract in any way as the eating places around we excellent especially the wonderful bakery opposite which... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
