The Westin Paris - Vendôme garners mixed feedback from its visitors. While the hotel's cleanliness and modern bathrooms receive commendations, guests have called out the need for updates and inconsistent housekeeping. Its prime location with stunning views is widely lauded, although some travelers are bothered by the noise.
Service quality at the hotel is a point of contention, with some describing it as professional, while others find it lacking. The atmosphere and rooms have both charm and drawbacks, reflecting a blend of grandeur and the need for modernization. Recently stayed at Westin Vendome in Paris for a conference. The location is central to many tourist attractions, and there are plenty of metro stops within walking distance. The hotel in my opinion is pricy and I don’t think I would go out of my way to book here again unless it was due to another conference. My room for example had walls with cracks on them, and visible stains on the blackout curtains. The pricing for the in-bedroom breakfast was exorbitant for what it included. Staff was courteous and professional. I didn’t try the hotel restaurant or bar. The room for the most part was nice. They provided bathrobes, slippers, no iron, but 2 hair dryers. There was a desk and lounge chair. The bed wasn’t a true queen bed, rather 2 smaller beds put together. Hotel seemed spacious and overall they stay was good.

Location is awesome!! Right across the Jardin Tuileries, walking distance from the Louvre, plenty of shops around the corner including Laduree and conveniently located blocks from Louis Vuitton.
The rooms were outdated. We were on the 4th floor but we did have really high ceilings. I didn’t notice our carpet, but I remember always wearing my slippers (complimentary) around the room. We had a courtyard view and booked the superior room 2 singles. We thought we booked 2 queens, but we had single beds instead. Though we had tall ceilings, the room was not updated. It was clean though. Bathroom was really old, clean but old. We encountered a clogged sink and maintenance came by to repair it within the hour. I get the hotel is older and this is its charm, but renovating and upgrading rooms would benefit this hotel, people want luxury accommodations when booking hotels at $300+ a night.
Their staff was a mix of people who smiled and was courteous and really helpful, to people who showed up to work cause they had bills but didn’t really want to be there. Hotels are about hospitality so if you don’t have that customer experience as your priority when you’re working, maybe you’re in the wrong industry. With that being said, the staff at the buffet were so friendly, welcoming and attentive! I hate that I forgot his name, but we called him Kabayan, he was a fellow Filipino and was just real attentive to our family. They had a nice omelette and egg station as well. The staff at concierge , 5 stars- so friendly and helpful! Gave us recommendations of what to see and do, plus even called taxis for us and coordinated our airport transfer since we didn’t speak French. Staff behind registration could be more helpful, 4 stars. Doormen were friendly and helpful! Tough job as it was freezing cold out there, but they still opened doors and greeted you with a smile.
When you first walk in to the hotel you are greeted with a wonderful scent . However when you’re walking from the elevators towards the buffet, there is a weird scent, smells like horse poo, trying to be covered by a strong scent of flowers. I’ll never forget this, we smelled this daily.
All in all, a great experience for my family and I. It was our first trip to Paris and appreciated the central location of this hotel. It was our home for 5 days. Would I book here again, probably not, unless they upgrade their rooms and get rid of that awful smell.

Stayed on points, thus lowest level of superior room number 1045. My review will reflect many others on here with regard to horrible housekeeping service and hair on shower walls, as well as this being a very tired looking interior room. We changed rooms due to two single beds being pushed together like on cruise ship, but we had to do it on night 2/4 when we then moved to room 4060 with an amazing view over the Tuileries. One area that was excellent that I want to point out, that is different from other reviews, is that each and every individual I spoke to about service was fantastic. They were warm, friendly, and truly trying to get it right. We did not get housekeeping service on the last day even tho it was placed on the chat feature with the hotel 3 times and was promised three times. The duty manager with a suit on came up at midnight to clean the room at that point and I declined but did accept new towels and having old ones removed. I had to empty my own trash into a laundry bag and leave in the corner. In first room there was hair on shower wall. Phone buttons did not work, phone was from about 1986, no way to communicate with hotel except on chat on your iPh. No one replaced it. The location is fantastic, especially in summer when the festival is on July-August outside hotel as you literally cross the street and are there. . *** This hotel needs to be shut down and gutted, reopened as a Luxury collection, etc, as the historic building and location has what it takes.

Week long stay, and love this Gem of a property! Charming room with stunning view of Eiffel Tower, Jardin de Tuileries, Louvre.
Opened in 1878 to welcome people to the World Fair. gorgeous Haussmanian architecture from Belle Epoque era, visited by royalty for decades. This architecture needs to be appreciated by reviewers, including unique rooms with stylish moulding, French doors/windows that open, as well as exquisite decor!
For example, the Breakfast restaurant, is richly decorated in jewel toned amethyst textured velvet chairs, lilac silk drapes, on a backdrop of deep chocolate brown walls - Very Cozy! Gives it a royal, Parisian flair! No one needs another hotel with white/beige everywhere - its soooo boring! All this with huge windows facing the Jardin du Tuileries
Also to be appreciated is the lively breakfast service in this dining room. Its an exquisite buffet with all types of selections including an omelette chef! For anyone to complain about this room, the food, the service is absurd.
The staff in the restaurant are lovely!!
A note to fellow Americans (and other annoying tourists): 1. Dress smart: This is a civilized hotel in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Paris (Vendome) - If you can afford to stay here, you can afford to show up to breakfast in something other than Gym-clothes!! Skip the grungy t-shirts, and sweat-shorts, and put on a "collared" shirt /golf shirt /polo shirt, and some tailored bermuda shorts or a summer dress - You will be treated much better!!! No one is requiring formal jackets/ties, but try not to show up like slobs off the street!
2. Learn some manners!!! Be polite and nice to staff! They are trying to help people from all over the world speaking many languages - I've seen some obnoxious Americans on display this week who are such rude slobs, its embarrassing.
3. Respect that you are in a foreign country - Learn to say at least Please and Thank You in French. If you want to stay in U.S. and take your six kids to McDonalds, then do that, no need to terrorize the staff, then write a negative review when you have missed the point entirely!
This is a beautiful gem in fabulous location, with rich decor to be appreciated. Does it need some renovation, yes, sure, but a couple of cracks in corner of wall or chipped paint, is not a big deal when you consider the beauty and history of the place and relative cost vs other hotels in area that are much more expensive with boring beige/white decor and zero character. Enjoy this treasure!

We have stayed at The Westin in Vendome multiple times since 2015, with the most recent stay in 2024. Over the years, my family and I have appreciated the convenient central location in the 1st arrondissement of Paris and the professional team at the Westin. The GM, Mr. Michel, and the Deputy GM, Mr. Trancher, had dedicated the time to greet us and perfect our stay in Paris. After a long flight, a bottle of champagne, some French macaroons, and a personally written card were magnificent and greatly appreciated.
This hotel featured over 400 rooms, and we have had the opportunity to experience various room types throughout our many stays. During our most recent stay in 2024, we were allocated one of the Royal Suites with balconies on Rue de Rivoli and Rue de Castiglione. The well-maintained suite offered unobstructed views of the Tuileries Garden, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower.
Despite the high occupancy during our recent stay, we were impressed with the courteous front desk associates and greatly appreciated the professional service and follow-through. In conclusion, we are grateful for all the memorable stays and wish the team at The Westin Vendome all the best as they embark on a new journey in 2025.

Great location for the tourist in Paris as it is closed to most of the sites for people who are visiting. Hotel staffs are very friendly and polite ie from front desk to the lobby manager. We got the upgrade per request with King size bed and balcony view, room is much bigger than the one we got in London with high ceiling. A/C theometer wasn't able to adjust the room temperature but unlucky the days we stay were not so hot. Le First breakfast buffet has the best value with variety of choices ie from crepes to salmon. The shower area was tiny but it has three shower heads that can run at the same time. One more nice thing of this hotel in Europe is that it comes with couple USB charge ports so we don't need to use converter or adaptor to recharge our devices. If you are visiting from US, this should be one of your choice of hotel.

We couldn’t sleep well first night after 10 hrs flight from US even we were very very tired. There was a big sound of closing doors or something from outside on the street. Our room was at second floor. There was music too even it was midnight.
We called the front desk and the First Lady was polite but she couldn’t switch the room for us. We asked for a manager but she said no manager was available until the next day. She offered a smaller room which faced to more quiet side. We unpacked everything so we decided to stay in the room. After 1 hr or so the noises were getting worse so we called the front desk again.
This time the man picked up and he told me no room would be available and he can’t control the noise outside. He also said he is the manager even the previous one said no manager would be available until the next day. We said we already talked to someone and one room should be available as she offered just 1 hr ago.
The manager then agreed to move us to another room but said it was not possible to offer a discount or compensation because the hotel cannot control the noise from the street outside of the hotel.
This is our first time visiting Paris and we thought Westin would provide us great stay but please be aware and make sure to ask for a higher floor on the quiet side facing the inner courtyard if you stay. We moved to 6 th floor facing to inside and there was no noise. The location was awesome.
Also i don’t recommend adding breakfast if you stay multiple days as their menu was the same for 4 days for us.
Lastly, Bell people should offer a cart or help carrying luggages as there is no slope or ramp to the reception area. We needed to carry our suitcases on 10 steps or so.

I don't normally write reviews, but had to write this one to say how disappointing this hotel was. Aside from the OK location near the Louvre, it had few redeeming qualities.
Rooms and common areas were small and badly in need of an update. No clock on bedside table and electronics were not plugged in or did not work. Bad lighting. Shower curtain rings fell off. Water pressure was horrible. Tape to cover up cracked marble.
Despite a request 3 weeks in advance to have connecting rooms for our family, we ended up getting split up into two rooms down the hallway from each other - not ideal for a family.
This hotel did not live up to the Westin name. Very disappointing. Do not recommend.

Visited here for a week on a work trip and this is absolutely the location to be! Not only is the location central Paris down the street literally from the Louvre, it is central to shopping districts and on a main street across from the public gardens. You can literally walk anywhere from this location. The interior of this place is spectacular, some of the rooms are spacious regular hotel rooms and some of the rooms are typical Parisian flat style. The place is quite large and the ballrooms are old style French villas decked out in gold leaf trim and just unbelievably spacious and glamourous.
The staff here is excellent and there is all the amenities. The only complaint is the bar in this location is quite small and cramped and the staff are not up to par with handling crowds in this intimate lounge. Other than that, this place is worth every penny!

As I write this I am still at the hotel room 3093. I feel I am in a Courtyard Marriot in a dinky town the double twin room is brown, dingy, dreary and certainly not 25 square meters. We are in the heart of Paris, I feel I am back in Kansas. Today it was 6 PM no cleaning service yet- at more than $400 USD a night. The towels at a Days Inn are fluffier than these. I am supposed to change rooms tomorrow for another $199 Euros plus a night I will rewrite my review if it is any better than this and more.... if the room, view and terrace fit the price tag. So sad being Bonvoy member, making reservation way ahead of time.... got me a broom closet room Beware. Other hotels for less in the area have more zing, original antique furniture, a more finesse feel to it. Search around. Great area. Location is Prime.
