I booked the Hotel du Petit Moulin when it was still affiliated with Hyatt. Immediately after I booked, I received an email that this hotel was no longer a part of Hyatt. I thought about canceling my booking and choosing another Hyatt or Marriott property in Paris to get points, but with the good reviews on here and the hotel's reputation, I decided to go ahead and stay. I was very disappointed with the experience at the hotel almost immediately when we arrived in Paris. Prior to arriving, the hotel offered a car from the airport to the property. It was booked through a third party company. Due to the hotel's high rating, I expected it would be a high-end vehicle and professional pick up. Instead, I had a guy show up in jeans and a wrinkled shirt who drove me in his dirty car (two half used bottles of water were in the backseat, as well as a dirty napkin). Upon arrival, reception was very kind and gave me a lovely check-in, welcoming me and explaining all of the features of the hotel. The hotel is very cute and charming. Once I got to the room, I was disappointed again. Before arriving, the hotel sent me an email asking if I needed anything special. I filled out the form and requested some wine and treats for the room. There was nothing in the room when I arrived and it never showed up. The room itself is very cool and funky with whimsical decor by Christian Lacroix. The room was very clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable and I loved the windows that opened to the outside. The bathroom was surprisingly large and offered plenty of towels and a wonderful heated towel rack. The next disappointments came from housekeeping. On the second day, the room was serviced, but they didn't pick up some of the trash or the used wine glasses. On the third day, housekeeping didn't clean the room at all, despite my having the sign out to make up the room. The night reception gentleman had to come to the room and give me towels and take out my trash. Finally, on the day we checked out, reception called to ask if I needed help with luggage. I said yes, please. No one ever came to the room. This hotel has a fun style and is in a great area. It's in the middle of wonderful shops and restaurants and within walking distance to some of the great parts of the city. However, for $500+/night, the service elements that were missed made this a property I would not return to. I won't be back. I switched to the Renaissance Republique and had a much better stay.

Beautiful hotel and rooms. Great location near shops and restaurants. Metro is very close but so much is within walking distance. Very helpful staff. I requested a specific room, which I got. Fresh flowers, champagne and chocolate in room on arrival. Will definitely stay again.

There were some good things about this hotel (let us check in super early, location, comfortable foam mattress), and assistance making a dinner reservation. However, for the price and reputation, we were not impressed. We booked directly with the hotel and were put in the worst room (ground floor, window opened to passers-by and construction). We would have booked via third party, had we known this ahead. Layout of the room inefficient. No where to put our luggage (no rack, had to use the desk and chair). Closet warm due to fridge filled w minibar stuff. There were waters but unclear if complimentary. Huge step off into the bathroom, very easy to fall at night. Sink counter set up in a way without room for our stuff and everything was getting wet. The hairdryer terrible. Toiletries, below average (not Hermes as advertised or in the past). We were not told about the breakfast, so missed it. HUGE metal skeleton key, very inconvenient to carry around, also the dnd sign hangs right over the keyhole to hard to close and lock the door without moving it. We are from NY so it really wasn’t the lack of space , it was the lack of attention to detail.

Hotel du Petit Moulin is totally lovely! The hotel is small, quiet, and just so pretty with vibrant colors and Christian Lacroix's creative design. We lucked out and had the large corner room (sorry, forgot the number!) with the celestial artwork above the bed which made it dreamy! The staff was super nice and helpful. HUGE THANKS for the welcome patisserie for my birthday--it was the best surprise after the 9-hour overnight flight! And, great tips on local restaurants--highly recommend Glou, a nearby walk and fantastic! THE LOCATION is SUPERB! You are so close to boutique shops, great cafes and restaurants, parks, and popular Parisian museums and sites. It does not feel "touristy" in the area, but rather like you are staying in a gorgeous city neighborhood--which you are. Highly recommend if you want a small intimate hotel in the heart of a great neighborhood.

I booked the junior suite at Hotel du Petit Moulin. At no.point prior to arriving was I informed that the elevator doesn't go to the 4th floor where the room is located. One must climb about a dozen stairs from floor 3 to 4. Not good for someone with a bad knee. Additionally, the room has dangerously low, angled ceilings -- like in an attic -- that make it perilous to navigate, especially at night. There is no other equivalent room and the hotel is full. The manager can do nothing. I have never been so disappointed with Hyatt.

Our stay was fantastic. I cannot fault it. The room was at the top. Clean and comfortable. There was a surprise for us inside as it was an anniversary. The staff are great and location second to none. Access to sister hotel Spa and Gym a few minutes away is a nice touch. Breakfast in bed and complementary drinks and alcohol were amazing! A very luxurious stay in Paris!

From the first contact until we left, we were very well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble, and the room we had (301) was excellent. Le Marais is a great location with so much to see nearby, and several metro stations are also close if you want to go further afield. We can also recommend the bistro le Petit Marchè for a reasonably priced meal with fast and friendly service. I would definitely stay in Du Petit Moulin again if we ever get the chance to do so.

My wife and I traveled to Paris for our honeymoon recently and the best decision we made was booking with Mr Luc Guillo Lohan at the Hotel du Petit Moulin. As the General Manager, he took personal care to ensure our every inquiry was responded to promptly; even considering the time difference between LA and Paris, they were quick. And the special requests that I asked for in advance were fulfilled with ease and went beyond my expectations. We were of course greeted warmly on arrival and made to feel completely at home in their stylish yet cozy boutique hotel. They even offer access to their companion hotel nearby, which includes a gym and spa. The hotel’s location in Le Marais was the ideal departure point for our daily explorations of Paris. Several metro stops are within a 5 minute walk, but we found ourselves easily walking to most of the popular destinations: Notre Dame, Place de la Bastille, Saint Sulpice, and even some slightly longer walks to the Louvre and the Tuileries Garden. But in fact, we could have spent the entire week just exploring the myriad shops and restaurants in Le Marais. My wife and I agree that any future trips to Paris (hopefully soon) will include a stay at Hotel du Petit Moulin. In fact, selecting a district and a hotel was the most difficult part of planning - it’s nice to know we can comfortably skip that step for our return visit. Thank you again to Mr Luc and the whole team at Hotel du Petit Moulin!

Perfect small luxury hotel. Management is exceptional. Team is welcoming, extraordinarily accommodating and comfortably doting. Location in the heart of the Marais couldn't make Paris more accessible. Ambiance is comfortable, slightly edgy while honoring the antiquity of the building. Breakfast Paris simple with delicious breads and cheeses. We've been to Paris a dozen times, unquestionably the best experience ever. Sidenote benefit. Across the street is Chez Nenesse. it is the ultimate neighborhood bistro. Excellent and reasonably priced menu.

The reception, service, and housekeeping staff are all friendly and helpful. They spoke multiple languages that we heard and was helpful to switch to English when they understood it is our native language. The staff is a highlight because they made our stay feel easy and enjoyable from the first moment to check-out. Both the common areas and the room of the hotel has very interesting decor that makes the spaces cozy and warm in feeling. The interior design integrates exceptionally well to the neighborhood of Les Marais. The location of the hotel couldn't be better. It's literally 1 block in multiple directions to the hustle and bustle of Paris—to wonderful boutiques and delightful eateries. It's a 10 minute walk to the lower part of Les Marais—shopping central for those who really like to shop—and the Seine river itself. Within a 5 minute walk is easy access to multiple metro stations that spans across at least 6 metro lines taking a visitor conveniently to just about any points of interest within the Paris Ring. Future hotel stays in Paris will definitely be here.
