My Mother, Partner and I stayed at the Hotel Virgina as part of our 'trip around Europe' and from the minute we checked in we were treated wonderfully! The night porter, Fernando, was one of the most genuine people we've ever had the pleasure to meet. He checked us in and got us settled at 10pm at night without hesitiation.... More

Arrived early at hotel and as room was ready allied immediate access. The proprietor Maria was simply perfect. She went through tourist maps with bus and metro connections, gave advice on tickets and where to visit. The bus station and metro were both within 100 m of hotel which meant we were well located for all major sights and travel... More

We stayed for 2 nights recently having stayed in the area before. What a lovely hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was great. Great transport links nearby and lots of nice cafes on the doorstep. Would stay again.

We spent four nights at Virgina on our vacation trip to Paris. As we arrived the receptionist was very friendly and asked us if we need some advice. He took his time and recommended a few nice places to visit. Generally it's a very clean and comfortable hotel. We had breakfast included and it was worth the money.

Great location near underground and tram stations, many supermarkets are also nearby. Friendly staff, clean, nice and air-conditioned room and fast WiFi. Bathroom was quite small, but very clean. Water was warm with good pressure. Breakfast in hotel was quite small.

What a great experience! The hotel is clean and well looked after; a real hidden gem. Hotel itself feels like 4 stars; staff is very kind and helpful and give you the impression that it is a 5 star hotel. One of our kids uses a wheelchair. The hotel has a few accessible rooms; even the bathroom is very accessible... More

This is a really unique hotel in the Latin Quarter. It was conveniently located to great restaurants and was quiet. It has a darling, tiny, antique elevator (the kind with wrought iron and brass folding doors). It had a curving stairway which was beautiful but hampered carrying large luggage. The staff were very courteous, friendly and accommodating to people who... More

Very good location, very helpful staff, there is everything in the neighborhood. We bought Louvre and Bateau Mouches tickets in the hotel, this was very helpful. There is space to improvements: room is too little, there was just one towel to two people, just one croissant to each person in the breakfast, just one soap reloaded, minibar not worked.

Mum and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful, homely hotel. Staff were friendly and very helpful! The room was very comfortable, clean and older classical style of decor. Beds comfortable with nice linen, location couldn't be bettered with only minutes walk to metro, bus and tram. The location is in an older, settled area rather than a built... More

What a gem! Very nice staff who went out of their way to help me during my entire three night stay. Comfortable, clean room with all of the basic accomodations. The location is GREAT, despite being on the outskirts, you're right next to a metro station and a bus station which easily takes you wherever you need to go! Alot... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
