A good base, polite staff, good amenities nearby. The restaurant next door is amazing. The lift, well, very small, strategic calculations are definitely required!!!!!! The room 602, basic, but great view with the balcony. For a place to 'lay your hat' great.

Booked in to ideal hotel design for a birthday weekend 21st April until 24th April. On arrival my friend and I was informed that there had been a problem with our room and we had been double booked so therefore moved to the Glamms hotel just round the corner. Apparently it is their partner hotel. After arriving and being given...

This hotel has become my Paris go-to. I was upgraded to a prestige room (510) and enjoyed the spaciousness and big bathroom with soaking tub. The room faced the back of the building and was very quiet. The design was 70s-inspired with lots of orange art! I'm told that rooms 610 and 710 are the "romantic" style with lots of...

We organised little city break for my mum's boyfriend and we have stayed in the Ideal Hotel for two nights. Checking in process was very smooth we didn't wait at all, it took around 5 minutes to get the keys. This hotel has great location! Very convenient. You will find wide selection of restaurant, shops, pâtisserie and coffee places near...

Porte d'orleans MRT is literally outside the main door of the hotel. Location is great. Once you've figured out the MRT and tram system, its very easy to reach the main tourist attractions such as Eiffel Tower, Arc De Tromph etc. and even the airport. The hotel is surrounded by cafes, bakeries, Subway, restaurants, Carrefour Express etc. The hotel is...

Cheap in price and fabulous in location, me and my partner have been pleasantly suprised. After paying £154 for 3 nights we expected a basic room with no luxury. Upon arrival we were placed in room 604, which had lovely view out front (picture below). The only down fall was our double bed was in fact 2 singles pushed together...

Decor is very tacky and in your face, but for a very cheap stay you can't expect too much, bed comfortable, shower good. The lift is tiny so only room for 1 person with luggage. The best thing about this hotel is the fact that metro station entrance is right outside. The walls are very thin and you can hear...

We first went the counter to check in and had the front desk lady roll her eyes constantly at every question we had... then we we asked for an adapter that was on the screen behind her advertised to borrow, she just said no and didn't explain anything.... we went up in a box of an elevator to our room...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
