The hotel is on a relatively quiet side road in Paris but in a very good area within the Madeline area.

Nice size rooms, mini bar, good shower and bath, plenty of hanging room for clothes and to put the travel bags away.

Great buffet breakfast, a nice spa area and the whirlpool / jacuzzi/ steam room are free of charge during the day but can be reserved in the evening.

We used the spa and it was a great way to relax before and or after an early dinner.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Especially the front of house / concierge.

Location was really good sight seeing things within 25mins walk or 1mile to 1.5km away some closer.

Lots of places to eat and drink nearby as well.

Really lovely hotel in a great location. Very easy to get around the city on foot and by public transport
We stayed in a suite as there was 4 of us which was very comfortable and had everything we needed including dressing gowns and slippers. Loved the terrace.
Breakfast was very good and included bacon and eggs, mushrooms and beans along with meats and cheese, fruits, cereals and breads.
The Turkish bath and steam room were complimentary and bookable in 45 minute time slots, also very good.
All staff members we encountered were really friendly and courteous at all times. We would happily return.

Love this hotel for a few reasons.
1) Location, location, location. Hotel is on a side street just 1 ~2 blocks from major streets. Very convenient to walk around, but still quiet once you leave the main streets. In addition, it is located within 5 mins walking distance to 3 different metro lines/stations. Printemps & Galerie Lafayette are within 5 mins walk.
2) Rooms are a decent size. I would say big for a Paris boutique hotel. The rooms we had were 2 twin beds pushed together to form a king size bed. It wasn't overly crowded. Don't expect US hotel room size, but was quite comfortable for 1~2 people/room.
3) Hotel staff were very nice & welcoming, bathrooms were stocked with Nuxe bath products. Hotel decoration was simple but tasteful. (Travel Tip- request room #55. It has a lovely balcony with plants that faces out into the streets and give you a nice pleasant view of the neighborhood. )
The only negative aspect of the hotel are the walls seem thin. I can hear people in the hallways when they walk past and room service staff getting ready for the day. Its a small hotel so there wasn't a ton of people traffic, but if you are planning spending a lot of time in your room, then this might be a problem.
Overall I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was quite safe to walk around the area at night. This is in June when sun doesn't set until past 10 pm. There is a British style pub right next door to the hotel, so coming back at night, there were ample people & energy.

Amazing location, staff was very friendly however food quality and service could be improved.I will recommended for short business stays or weekends away.

Prices are acceptable however wasn’t enough variety on food options for room service.

We finally made it to Paris after our trip being cancelled numerous times over the last 2 years due to Covid restrictions.
Marie's communication with us was fabulous the whole time.
The hotel is perfectly located off the busy main roads, all the main tourists spots are within walking distance and the train to Disneyland Paris is just 5 minutes away.
A great stay! Merci!

From the time we arrived at Le Mathurin we felt welcomed and cared for. The staff were so kind and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was great with the rain shower head. We were in a very central location. You could walk to so many places. A highlight was that we were near the Paris Opera House. We were also near the Galleries Lafayette. It was a quiet neighbourhood with some nice little restaurants with good food. The breakfast buffet had many delicious and healthy choices. The staff made sure to keep my husband’s insulin cold in their kitchen. We would very happily return to Le Mathurin and recommended it to friends who are going to Paris in May.

I stayed here with my 16-year old daughter for a few days in August 2022. We were so impressed with this hotel. The rooms were lovely - clean and well-equipped. The hotel itself is small but perfectly formed! The staff are very helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast is great. What else could you ask for? And the location, of course, is simply fantastic. So close to all the main tourist sites. Our room was on the first floor and so there was a little bit of road noise from about 6am; but considering how central we were we really couldn’t complain. Loved it. I will definitely be back with my other 2 daughters when they’re a bit older.

Visited with my wife and daughter May 2023, very nice hotel in 8th district about 15-20 mins from Gard de Nord station for the Eurostar. The staff are very nice and nothing is too much trouble, our room was fine, but a little bit small but this was because we had 3 beds in it. There are plenty of restaurants round and about and the Cricketers pub next door is great for a night cap, the only slight criticism is that the refuse men come early and make a lot of noise in the street below but it was only a small thing, in all a great little hotel for a few days in this great city

This was our second stay and it was up to the expected standard.

We had 2 adjacent rooms for the family and were allocated rooms on the 6th floor. There is a potential niggle as there is nowhere in the rooms to hang a wet coat other than in the wardrobe. Luckily the weather stayed dry while we were there.

We used the pool one day, which would have been two if Mondays hadn’t been maintenance day.

Reception and restaurant staff speak good English. Some housekeeping staff speak only broken English.
As always in France, some knowledge of the French language is useful.

Hi can you let me know if the family room is 2 separate interconnecting rooms?
Answer from Loïc travels
Comox, Canada5 contributions3 helpful votes
Hi, they are two separate rooms on each side of the end of a hallway. The hallway has a third door which shuts off the hall to the two end units. Leave the two rooms doors open and you have interconnecting rooms that are safely behind a door which uses the same room card. This is common in France we found. Was a nice hotel, very clean and friendly. Toilet rooms were on the small side, shower rooms were good. Hope that helps

Your triple rooms are described as having one queen size bed. Do they also have a 2nd bed or sofa bed?

As I remember the hotel did not have feather pillows. But in any case I would choose another more reasonably priced hotel in the area. Try hôtel vignon or hotel de seze
