Stayed at this hotel overnight primarily because of its proximity to the train station, its really just 1-2mins walk from the train station and we simply needed to be at the train station for our 6am trip. Reservation: Excellent! it was made online a month before and it was seamless. Booking remained intact. Arrival/check-in: Very good - our booking is...

I arrived in Paris at 9pm and had to catch a train into the city from the airport, by the time I arrived it was past 10pm and my accommodation had fallen through. After taking a while trying to figure out what to do I went into Hotel Paris and asked if there were any hostels in the area, the...

I booked this hotel in order to be close to the main train stations (3) in Paris. I was amazed to find that it was 20 paces from the station! I caught a shuttle taxi from the airport and was dropped at the door of the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful especially as I don't speak French....

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
