THE FIRST ART-GALLERY HOTEL IN PARIS We invited photographer Thierry des Ouches to decorate the hotel with his breathtaking photography. Based on 112 original prints that are displayed throughout the hotel, in the lobby and rooms and his film "Paris" which is screened in the reception. We've created this hotel with extreme attention to detail and a focus on guest experience. With it's ideal location in Saint Germain, not only is the hotel's decoration unique, it's location in Paris' most exciting neighborhood, makes it the best of both worlds (great decoration and great location). We're looking forward to make your stay in Paris the best you've ever had.

This is not our first visit, but many years later our experience with this hotel is no more than average. We booked a superior room but at first we’re given an old room upstairs across the courtyard. It was dark and dated, not the AC nor the little fridge worked. Once reported to the person at the front desk, we were moved to another room that was better the following day.. For a 4-star hotel, rooms are rather dated, the bed old and bed linen of such low quality. The only thing we definitely love about the hotel is its location in the historic Latin quarter of Paris. Every other aspect of our experience was average at best. Some people at the front desk were courteous and others did not even recognize or thank guests when we checked out. Once again the experience at this hotel leaves you at best neutral, as it is forgettable.

Hotel's Favorite
Out of the thousands of hotels in Paris, it can be overwhelming to find the one that suits the comforts and amenities of a place to stay while also being in an area that is appealing, easily accessible by the main modes of transportation (metro) and surrounded by more "local" places to eat or have a drink. Hotel Atmoshperes checked all the boxes for me on initial research, and upon check-in and my stay, the hotel indeed satisfied each and every aspect I desire in staying in a major city after having experienced it firsthand. Of note (for my specific travel needs) the hotel was first off easy to reach via metro station from Gare de Est main train station. Upon check-in, the hotel has a nice lobby and that boutique touch that most 4* star hotels in Paris have that aren't part of the big chain/brand hotels. The room was wonderful. Typical for the size and price point of a Parisian hotel room it had everything I needed. And while small, I really appreciated the lighting options in the room, from bright as day, to very discrete with the different light arrangements. The bed I found to be very comfortable. Plush enough yet supportive. The room had a mini fridge, Nespresso coffee maker, and some closet storage. I will say, the closet space is limited but not a deal breaker for me. It still was of use for my needs. My room had a special treat, a street facing balcony on the 5th floor! This was a special extra touch I had desired because of the appeal of people/street watching from my own space up above. With that said, noise from the street at the 5th floor level was minimal. Not enough to bother a light sleeper like me (sans the occasional city siren of an ambulance or police car driving by). The entirety of the hotel was clean and well kept from what I saw. My room was always refreshed and equipped with fresh towels for each day. I really want to make note on the hotel staff. Particularly two people. First the General Manager, Christelle Boin. While i have never stayed at this property previously, I was treated as if I have based on my status at another major chain hotel. The GM had left my partner and I a wonderfully handwritten note (beautiful modern postcard) and chocolates for us to come back to after a day out seeing the offers of the city. It was an extremely nice personal touch that made us both really appreciate that little bit "extra" that the hotel provided us and our stay. The second person I want to give a huge shoutout to is Marjorie! She gets a special shoutout because I noticed on another reservation site and hotel the hotel's own website that some rooms include a balcony. I had booked a room but a balcony was no guarantee. Before I committed to a reservation, I called the hotel an spoke with a woman (Marjorie) about a possible room with balcony. She mentioned upon booking the room, add the special request and they would see to it that they could make it happen. It did not take long after my phone call, booking the room and getting a response, did my desire to have a balcony room become confirmed and guaranteed! And for it to be honored on check-in really made the trip what it was for my Valentine! Marjorie was quick to recognize my name when she was on shift the second day as we were headed out and greeted us at the front desk with a big wonderful smile! It was great to have met the wonderful woman with which I spoke to previously on the phone and made my lovely Valentine's stay in Paris the perfect one! The balcony really made the room for us and Marjorie was the key person to ensure it could happen for us. A big THANK YOU for Marjorie at Hotel Atmospheres!!! I can highly recommend the hotel for all things considered. Outside the hotel, ease to Metro access was critical and what can someone complain about being only a minutes walk to the Seine and Notre Dame?! I would surely enjoy a future stay at Hotel Atmospheres and have already recommended it to a co-worker and her husband for their future consideration.

I have not used or contributed to reviews on TA for several years now, partly due to negative articles about TA and mostly due to the pandemic. However, this was a trip we planned in 2019 for the summer of 2020, and we decided – like so many others – to break out of our hermitage and take the trip this summer. And we do not regret our decision. First, I want to say working with this hotel has been amazing. I made the reservations long before the pandemic hit, but thinking naively, nothing would keep me from making this trip, I paid for the rooms right away, choosing the non-refundable option. Of course, we were unable to come in the summer of 2020, but the hotel was so kind, willing to postpone my stay until the following summer of 2021. Long story short, they were willing to carry my reservation over to this summer, and I am deeply grateful for their kindness. The location of this hotel is fantastic. It is so centrally located to so many places, like the Tuilerie gardens, the Seine, Ile St. Louis, bakeries, restaurants – the list goes on. The Sorbonne is so close, and the area is filled with bookshops, and a multitude of students. It was bustling with activity, and we loved wandering down the narrow streets and finding surprises, like a few musicians playing for a lovely dancer in front of one of the restaurants. There is also a fun Tuesday market nearby – a larger one – right on St. Germain Blvd and Rue de la Montagne (which is on the right when you exit the hotel) and right in front of the current Best Bakery in Paris for baguettes, La Maison Isabelle! I booked two rooms, a triple and a family suite. They were both clean and well-appointed with good air conditioning (we were there when the days were in the mid-90s). However, the difference in the room size was quite impressive. I found the triple to be very small, and a very tight squeeze for a double bed and a single, but the family deluxe suite that my daughter and her family had – oo-la-la! It was very large with 2 bedrooms (one was up a few stairs) and 2 bathrooms. There was enough room for small tables and chairs, a sauna, and even a little sitting area with a table just off the main room. This has to be the best-kept secret deal in Paris! It was so lovely, and a wonderful refuge from the hustle and bustle of the day, not to mention the heat. We want to thank the hotel for being so welcoming and making our short stay so comfortable. If you happen to find yourself looking for a hotel in Paris one day, the Atmospheres is a good choice if you’re looking for a great location, and be sure to book the deluxe family suite!

Felt really welcome when checking in, cheerful helpful receptionist. We had a 3 night stay. Our room, although small was spotlessly clean. Such a comfy bed too. We had a small balcony which overlooked the street, it was nice to see everything. Absolutely fabulous shower, no pressure loss even though we were on the 5th floor. Towels/ bedding changed daily but you can request less frequently. (Unfortunately we found that info too late) Breakfast is a continental buffet with a little cooked food. Overall very good selection. The buffet was constantly replenished by the team. Celia was our main contact at breakfast….she was really lovely. Chatted quite happily with us making us feel comfortable and welcome. Unfortunately we had to come home and our flight was late evening, the hotel stored our luggage securely until we were ready to leave. Wonderful base for sightseeing and lots of cafes close by. It was a really lovely break Would love to return in the future. Many thanks

This place is absolutely amazing. First of all, the staff in this hotel is the best staff that I ever seen in hotel. Special thank you to Marjorie who was absolutely amazing. Location is perfect. It is right on the center of the city with some nay cafe and restaurants around with many different options. Right in front of the hotel are several small stores where you can find everything that you want. Rooms are a bit small but this is center of Paris. Rooms are very clean, bed very comfortable. Now the only big negative fir me was internet. I was the slowest internet that I have ever had in hotel which can be annoying and a bit frustrating at times but other than that this place is great.

My daughter and i travelled to celebrate her 25th birthday in Paris last week. The hotel was perfect, a compact but well planned room, very soundproofed and beautifully clean. The management greeted us with chilled champagne and a birthday card in our room on arrival and the receptionist even sang happy birthday to my daughter as we came down to breakfast on the day. Breakfast was lovely, clean, fresh and calm, we enjoyed it daily. Location great, we walked all weekend but metro was close. Had 2 dinners at Perguinaud (hope that is the correct spelling) 1 minute walk away, both fabulous and moderately priced and a cheap and cheerful steak and chips in a student hangout in the opposite direction which was fabulous value. Most importantly we felt safe all the time, reception was always there and Thankyou so much for a lovely trip.knew us.

The location is quite good, we walked EVERYWHERE. This includes the museums on the Seine River, and the Arc de Triomphe. While the hotel’s room was larger than we expected, I would not call it large. The room was clean and well kept, and the hotel was nice and quiet. The staff was friendly and efficient. An additional strong point, there is a laundry mat a block away. When you’re taking a long trip, that is GREAT. The breakfast was good, not great, but good. The staff was very gracious to prepare oatmeal for my wife that we purchased locally as it was not on the menu. Without question, we will stay here again… assuming the virus allows us to travel again… sigh.

We stayed at this hotel in February for a few nights. Staff were friendly, service was pleasant and the rooms were clean. The room we stayed in was nice, albeit fairly compact. E.g. We asked for an iron and got one, although there wasn’t room for an ironing board (nor one forthcoming) There’s no bar, aside from a fairly well stocked ‘honesty bar’ near reception. Which is a nice touch and quite cute. The location of the hotel is spot on. We got the number 63 bus outside the hotel and went to the Eiffel Tower (2 euros for a bus there) - We also walked to Notredam, which is about 15 mins. There are some very nice little restaurants and bars right near the hotel too, so you don’t need to wander far. We’d go back here and would definitely recommend it.
