Highly recommended hotel. Great location. Professional and helpful staff. Clean room, lovely decor. Nice view to a garden. Very small though. Also one small elevator. Good breakfast restaurant adjacent to the hotel.

We loved this hotel! Great location near Luxembourg Gardens and the Latin Quarter. Less than a block from the metro. The rooms were nice - comfortable beds, good size bathrooms. Very friendly staff and nice morning breakfast with made to order coffee and hot tea drinks. Highly recommend this if you want to be in heart of Paris.

This hotel was absolutely perfect for us! The staff were all so helpful and friendly, from when I contacted to ask whether they had interconnecting rooms to when we checked out. The location is ideal - we loved walking through Luxembourg Gardens every day on the way to and from the Metro station. The breakfast was delightful - just what we wanted to start our days. Some people have mentioned that the hotel itself is tired. We did not agree. The main areas were all beautifully quirky and clean. And the rooms were perfectly proportioned (another point people seemed to complain about). The issue I feel people have raised is in relation to the fact that the furniture in the rooms is black, which chips when people do not take care. This does not make it tired in any way! It was not enough for me to not be happy staying here! I will definitely be booking to stay at the Hotel Observatoire on out next trip to Paris!!

Good location very pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. However rooms far too small to unpack suitcase or store clothes very disappointed claustrophobic bedrooms. We had to step over our suitcase to get into the bathroom.

The staff were terrific and very helpful. The location next to the Luxemburg Gardens was superb. I checked out on a Saturday before the breakfast opened but they kindly gave me coffee and croissants.

This hotel is a great base for Paris. Nice neighborhood, friendly staff, and with the Metro and four bus lines at the front door. The breakfasts are excellent and Café is convenient if you don't want to leave the hotel. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood. The biggest plus is the front desk staff. Ultra helpful. One minor annoyance, also prevalent at other French hotels: the air conditioning was not working in May. It's not too big a deal, but it's noisy with the widows open

It has a good location to take public transport, close to good restaurants, comfort in the room, although the bathroom is small, it has a good toilet and what is necessary for the stay. Recommending the afternoons in the Luxembourg gardens, to be able to appreciate the game of Petanque. There are also pubs with good wines and food.

Location great. Front desk staff great. Room clean. Single bed squeezed into an already small room to make it take 3. The beds themselves- very very firm (rock hard). No storage really - tiny hanging space, no drawers. Room on 1st floor so we could not leave window open over night and air con centrally switched off so we were too hot at night. No fans available. The coffee machines in the room made nice coffee and the front desk staff at night were more than happy to replenish stock and the day staff very helpful with taxi bookings. A quirky and somewhat old fashioned system is that rooms are locked with a key (not keycard!) and keys are left at the front desk. We had a great stay, but not totally sure it was quite worth the amount paid.

The staff in the hotel were friendly, proffesionable and knowledgable about the city, which greatly helped me enjoy the city. The hotel was spotlessly clean in all the public areas and my room was well appointed and very comforable fpr my three night stay. This was a well situated well run hotel for visiting Paris. I will be staying agin in the near future

Alright we had the biggest room which is on the first floor, it was tight for a family of four, my wife and two teens slept in the bed and I slept in the twin sized roll in bed, it was a tight squeeze, the bathroom was a shower toilet combo kid of drain in the middle of the floor deal, overall beyond it being a tight squeeze it was a good stay close to the metro, great staff, great breakfast at the attached restaurant, I am pleased with the stay
