One night in Paris and stayed at the Agora. Great location and not that noisy one the restaurants and bars closed below. The staff were very pleasant and helpful giving advice on what to do and where to go. Very good value for money although not luxury you can't beat this hotel for all round value.

Having lived in Paris in the 70s I wanted a few nostalgic and selfishly alone days in central Paris. This was the perfect choice - great ambiance, excellent and unintrusive service, quiet at night, very central and convenient for walking. Once I had discovered my entrance 50m from the hotel to the Metro and RER station of Les Halles, that... More

I wanted to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday and take him away to Paris for the weekend. I booked the hotel from late rooms.com roughly a month before his birthday. The location itself is excellent - very quiet at night, but still lively enough in the day. There are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants within a few minutes... More

Very close to Boulevard St. Germain this is the absolute right location. Close to attractins, cozy bars and very good restaurants indeed. It is a small three star hotel, but it is better than other three stars hotel in this area. Friendly 24 h open reception, nice breakfast room in the basement and the 11 Euros breakfast is quite OK... We spent 3 nights in Paris starting our European holiday. We found Hotel Agora on the Internet and took our chances. We were so happy that it turned out to be a great decision. The location is minutes away from Notre Dame Cathedral and close to most of the major spots we wanted to see. It was also great to... More

Very, very small rooms (99 Euro), very modest interior not exceeding the functional. 1 plastic cup for two people, woolen blanket with cigarette wholes and hairs from the former guest. Very loud - it is not possible to sleep with open window. One point for the location and one for the price. Personally I would not suggest this Hotel to... More

My husband & I stayed at Hotel Agora Saint Germain for 5 nights in May 2012. The room was small, as advertised. The room was very clean and well looked after. We had an inside facing room, so could barely hear the church bells that went off each hour. The elevator is approximately 1m x 80cm...very small! We got buffet... More

Situated just opposite Les Halles metro station, Hotel Agaora is well connected by metro to most of the locations with may be a single change. Most of the tourist attractions like Notre dame, Luvre, Champs -ellysse are 15-30 mins walking distance away. The deluxe rooms are small but comfortable and cosy. There is no airconditioning though. American breakfast is served... More

Great location in the 5e Arrondisement [Pantheon], just a few blocks from the Ile de la Cite and steps away from some great restaurants on Saint Germaine. Staff is friendly and very helpful to the language-challenged [they all speak beautiful English]. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet, although on the small side [it's Paris, after all]; avoid bringing lots of... More

The Hotel Agora is ideal for a long weekend in Paris. The city's rail links, Metro (Les Halles, Chatalet) and some of the major attractions are within easy walking distance - thus making it a sound choice if you intend to spend your days out-and-about exploring the city. A good tip: When exiting Les Halles station (having arrived by train... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
