Hotel in a walking area. No cars. Noise almost all night. Talking, walking, music, you name it. Room itty bitty. Must walk one flight to get to lift. Lift only big enough for one person. Shower very small opening. You overweight by more than 100 lbs you won't be able to squeeze into it. Hotel very close to good restaurants...

This is a small, quite typical Paris hotel in old-fashioned style. The rooms are rather small but have everything what is really needed if your plan is to visit the city rather than enjoy the hotel itself. The issue is with the elevator which starts from the first floor and you need to handle the luggage upstairs from the ground...

The room was clean, the heating worked (it was very cold outside) and location is superb. That's about it. Poor quality of sleep. Very noisy from the outside and especially from within the hotel. The walls are so thin we could hear neighbours from both sides and from above. The WiFi was appalling. Hardly worked at all. Electrical sockets were...

Welcoming, clean and ideally located, it always feels like coming home after the grandeur and hustle and bustle of the'big Paris'over the river. Surrounded by great bars and restaurants (la coupe chou, Le pipos to name but two) and a vibrant student we will definitely return.

This hotel is in a great location - close to Notre Dame, Hotel du Ville, and Metro stations. Nice to walk along Seine too. We appreciated the good restaurants nearby. Room was quiet and comfortable. Elevator was much appreciated for luggage.

Excelent Location a few metres from the Chatelet-Les Halles RER station, sorrounded by restaurants and bars. Rooms are small but confortable, bathroom very clean. The staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast is basic but good.

Hotel Agora is located on a quiet street just off St Germain in the Latin Quarter. 5 minutes from the Seine and Notre Dame, 1 block from the Metro and surrounded by great restaurants and bars. This is my second stay and I want to be very forthright - Hotel Agora is a typical European 3 star hotel with small...

This hotel is great. Very well located in the centre of Paris just 130metres from the RER B train line which connects direct to Charles De Gaulle airport. Trains every 8 mins for ten Euro. Hotel is very clean with very nice helpful staff. Despite being a 2 star it is comfortable and has good facilities for its rating. I...

We paid €100 a night, the room had a queen bed a tv and an ensuite, but no breakfast, however as it was Paris there are place to eat everywhere. It was nothing flash but it was all we wanted as we were there to see Paris not to sit in a hotel, so we went for the cheapest in...

Very nice little hotel. Good value for money and terrific location for both the metro and a lot of the main attractions. Would recommend this for couples on mini breaks more than anyone else. Probably a bit loud at night from the nearby bars if you have very young children.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
