I arrived and was warmly welcomed by Cheikh, and nothing was too much trouble. All the staff made my stay so very pleasant, including the impromptu French lessons! This hotel is in a really brilliant location, right by the Gare de Nord, which made travelling back so easy. (Also near the Gare D'Est) This is a compact hotel, after the style of an old train carriage, so some might find it a tad dark, but i enjoyed the style choices and really efficient service. My room had a little balcony looking over the street, and the shower and bathroom were really clean. The water was hot and everything was ship-shape - and my room was quiet. This hotel grew on me and I loved my time here. Even the bar was run on an 'honour' system - you just had to say what you had taken. I was made to feel welcome and as this was a solo trip it made a big difference. Perhaps you might not like the dark, carriage-style, but personally, I loved the ambience. Space is a premium in Paris but I really enjoyed the atmosphere and cosiness. Breakfast was a smallish buffet - and you might want to venture outside. (There was more than enough of everything for me, though.) Coffee and tea is free throughout the day. Well done to all!…
Staff were really nice, the room were clean, bed comfortable, location of the hotel is great, walking distance from Sacré Cœur and near metro and near Gare du Nord for the Eurostar, loved our stay there, we will definitely return there
An unexpectedly superb hotel on the door step of the Gare du Nord, excellent in all departments, good restaurants to hand, friendly for all of my 5-6 visits so far. Comfortable and very quiet rooms. Staff look after you.
Well-equipped rooms, with tasty breakfast (included when booking direct) and helpful staff. This hotel is so much more than just a novelty theme, which is great fun anyway. Convenient location near Gare du Nord when arriving by train. Highly recommended!
Excellent location near Gare Nord train station. Easy to find, and staff were very helpful and courteous and checked us in early ( noon) . Very much appreciated as we desperately needed a nap after our overnight flight to Paris. Room was very cool looking in its suitcase oriented theme. It was very clean and comfy and had everything we needed for our overnight stay. Bathroom was bright and very clean.
Hotel Whistler is in an excellent location for the traveller - just a few minutes away from the Gare du Nord and easy to find. Reception staff are very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are good, with large, comfortable bed and soft pillows. Nice towelling robes and slippers provided. Reasonable amount of storage. In spite of noisy location, the bedroom is pretty quiet because of secondary glazing. Bathrooms are spacious with good, modern shower. Not much shelving for personal toiletries, but sufficient. Shower gels, shampoos, hairdryer, all provided. No soap for hand or face washing however. Breakfasts are good and offer plenty of choice. There are numerous bars and restaurants nearby.
Stayed for two nights at Hotel Whistler with my teenage daughter on a mini-break to Paris. The location is incredibly convenient, right by the Gare du Nord, although the stroll down to the Gare de l'Est is also a good option for variety! This is a really welcoming boutique hotel, with well thought out and quirky decor. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we were able to leave our luggage both on arrival (got in at 11am) and on departure, in order to have more exploring time in the city. The room was comfortable and quiet, with the occasional rumbling of metro trains under the hotel just adding to the theme. Breakfast was excellent, my daughter loved the pain au chocolat and crepes. All in all, a delight!
Very close to Gare du Nord, and under 10 mins walk to Gare de L'Est even with luggage, so very good position. Small rooms but just about ok for an overnight stay. Room maintenance could have been better, e.g. the lid of the bureau-type desk had a broken latch so it could not be kept closed and when open got in the way of the door. Staff were very helpful, including providing us with breakfast about 15 minutes before it officially started for the morning. We shall use it again next time we need a place to stay near one of these stations.
Just returned from a 3 night stay at Hotel whistler and wouldn’t hesitate to go back again. The staff are a real credit to the hotel very helpful and polite. Step off the streets of paris away from the hustle and bustle and it’s a different world in the hotel. Housekeeping is very high standards and the breakfast is absolutely delicious and fresh next time where in Paris we shall be returning to your hotel.
Convenient, nice and cozy. Close to metro and Gare de Nord. Staff was friendly and attentive to guests. If your looking for an option, that offers quick access to long distance trains from Gare De Nord this is perhaps your best option in the area.
