Just spent 5 nights here and I’ve no complaints. Convenient location and quite spacious for central Paris and the rooms are clean with a service every day. I’d stay here again. Reception staff very friendly and available 24 hours a day. Didn’t do the breakfast as petit dejeuner available from three cafes 50 metres up the street for 7 €. Very pleased.

never ever! This accomodation is terrific! We booked online because the pictures of the hotel is really deceptive. 4 floor, very strait caracole, you cant take your luggage it is 100%. The room was very very small. We booked one room with two single bed, but it is looked like a double bed, there is no space between the beds. The "bathroom" door was with a sliding door and that you cant closed. There was 5-6 cm between the wall and the door, so you can say hello your mate from the toilet. The water pressure lousy. Terrible. The room was smelly and the receptionists were unfriendly.

This review is not for the hotel on 14, but on the 17 Arr. "Hôtel de l'Europe 67 rue des Moines, 17th arr., 75017 Paris, France". This is the hotel and address, and yes, never ever will go back to this place. They both share the same characteristics and what others wrote. Yes, it was a reasonable price, but I would be paid a little bit more and would have a lift, to go up and down with the bags and stroller, not narrow stirs. no ventilation, no fan, wow it was like sleeping in an oven. My advice don't waste your money or time with this hotel, pay a little bit more and you can go to Tim Bertier that is a few steps down and enjoy a much more.... I don't recommend this place, not even it is cheap offers, because that is a trap.... PS> You will be delighted when opening your balcony window and smelling weed at night time and in the morning. If you like that then there is not much more to say....

I normally book budget hotels as I don’t see the point in paying a lot for a room when I’m hardly in there, but this hotel takes budget to a whole different level! The room is up steep winding stairs - didnt mind this as it said this in the description, but once in the room I was greeted by an absolutely foul smell which I think came from the drains. It was there all the time and there was also a really strong smell of smoke. The room felt generally grubby, the sheets had stains on them (although they had obviously been cleaned and ironed), the towels were grubby, torn and had holes in and we had to keep asking for 2 towels as they only left one. There were hairs in the shower and the sliding toilet/shower door didn’t shut properly. Also, you couldn’t shut the curtains fully and there was a flashing light into the room on and off all night. There was also building work going on which woke us up early in the morning. On the positive side, the reception staff were friendly and helpful and it was really near to the metro, however with regards to the area felt slightly rough with quite a few alcoholics and druggies lying on the benches and I wouldn’t liked to have felt safe walking around there in my own at night. We did see another room on the ground floor which was better than ours but we were in room 7 on the 2nd floor. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all even for one night. There was a hotel a few doors up which looked a lot cleaner and would be worth paying the extra

It is literally what you pay for. Rooms and toilets are super small. The bedding had stains and daily there is a room maid making the bed. There is no fan or AC, a big issue during the summer. All windows face an open area where people smoke and talk until late. So, if you don't like noise, it might not be the best option.
