Hotel du Levant in Paris... The finer things in life!
Step into the atmosphere of Hotel du Levant, Rue de la Harpe on the Left Bank, and open the colourful pages of the history of Paris!
In the heart of Paris' lively, picturesque 5th arrondissement of Paris, the hotel is a blend of charm, authenticity, nostalgia and modernity.
Elegance, thoughtfulness, comfort and style, the motto of our guest establishment ever at our service with its cosy rooms "a la Parisienne" is the best way for your walking discovery tours of the most beautiful jewels of the Capital: Notre-Dame and Ile de la Cite, the banks of the Seine and its bookstalls, Boulevards Saint Germain and Saint-Michel, the Conciergerie, Sainte-Chapelle and so much more.
Ideally located on the Left Bank, our 3-star hotel is a haven of peace in the hubbub of Parisian life.We do have a 3 guests bedroom available especially designed with handicap amenities. Because the Hotel du Levant is an old haussmanian construction, regular wheelchairs do not fit in. This is why we provide to our handicap guests a specific wheelchair, which fits in our elevator, to circulate in our hotel. We also provide storage of your personal wheelchair during your stay at the Hotel.
We stayed 4 nights beginning with New Years Eve. Hotel du Levant was a great base of operations to explore and enjoy Paris - museum, restaurants, shopping, jazz. The hotel is well maintained: lobby is cheery with books and umbrellas for guests; hallway carpets feel fresh, bathroom felt new, room heat worked well and we also opened the casement window for fresh air as needed. The staff is friendly and very responsive. A pleasant part of our stay was breakfast, which was included: fresh croissants, pain au chocolat and other breads, meats, cheeses, boil your own fresh eggs, cereals, fruit, tea, and coffee. They replenished the food as needed right up until the end of breakfast, so no worries if you wake up late. We will be back!
We absolutely loved this hotel. When in Paris, why would you stay at a big-brand hotel that is mostly the same anywhere in the world? You want to stay in hotel like this! A hotel that was born Parisian and screams "Paris"! It is on a quiet, mostly pedestrian side street, but still very close (1 block) to main boulevards. Perfect decor, cute small elevator (or spiral staircase) to your room. The rooms were very clean with daily housekeeping, an in-room safe and AC / heat, and honor bar / fridge in room. As other reviewers point out, Hotel du Levant has an outstanding location. Maybe 2 or 3 minutes walk to St Michel Metro, 5 minutes to Notre Dame (bless it) & St Chapelle, and 11 min walk to the Louvre. There is also a great small grocery store very close by. Breakfast was great with a good variety, and the gentleman staffing breakfast during our stay was also very friendly. Our group of 5 had 2 rooms, one with 3 twin beds (Triple Room), and the other with 2 twins. Also, the hotel had the foresight to put our rooms right next to each other without us having to ask, so merci beaucoup! The front desk is at the entrance to the hotel and is always staffed with a helpful & friendly concierge. I think this helps them get to know you and overall it feels more secure. All front desk staff were great (we met at least 5 of them in our 4 day stay), and they were quick to help us with local information and helped to schedule taxi vans on 2 mornings which was very helpful to us especially during the metro strike, special thanks to Julian & Leo for that! Overall, this is a memorable hotel that is a perfect match for Paris, and makes me want to return to Paris simply so I can stay here again.…
We are a family of four and the family quad room was perfect! Our 12 year old twins got their own beds :). If you are looking for a chain hotel, look elsewhere. But If you are looking for a cute hotel in an excellent location, this is it.
We have stayed at Hotel du Levant many times over the past 20 years and have never been disappointed. We love the location and the price is reasonable. Breakfast room is comfortable and breakfast options satisfying. The hotel is clean and safe. The rooms are small but efficient. The elevator only fits one person. If you don't want to deal with the elevator request a room on the lower floors and enjoy the walk down the quaint stairway. We have never had much luck with the restaurants around the hotel. However, we do enjoy the Bisrto La Departure on the corner of St. Michelle and the Seine.
My son had recommended the Hotel Du Levant to us and he was right on. Nice room , very helpful staff and a wonderful location in the Latin Quarter . Hotel provides a very nice breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.
