The location was absolutely perfect and surrounding areas. Walking distance to many of Paris's famous spots including the Louvre and Notre Dame. Just a short stroll to the Marais and a hop skip and a jump to sit by the Seine and soak in the atmosphere.

We were travelling with a school tour from Australia, and spent a week here. Great hostel, with super friendly staff, and the dinner they served at their sister property was decent. Common room was a little small - most noticeable at breakfast when at least two school groups attempted to dine simultaneously - and I believe no rooms with private...

In a brilliant part of Paris strolling distance to many cool things. Reception helpful and courteous. However rooms are small and 5 euro for a towel the size of a tea towel is a bit rich. I asked for another pillow and it was not available. You get what you pay for here but typical of Paris accom at the...

MIJE is in strategic position, close to the metro and to many interesting places to visit, in the heart of one of the oldest parts of Paris. If you don't need luxury to travel, it's surely a great solution at an affordable price. Only problem is that it often hosts school tours and it can be very noisy, both late...

It was raining day, I cycled 130km and my phone was broken by water, but guy at reception saved my life, shared his phone to send a message to family that I am alive, showed me the places open on Monday and he was extremely friendly and helpful. Please send thumbs up from me as I hadn't chance to say...

I really enjoyed my stay here because it was safe, clean, and in a great location. I feel like we paid for the location rather than the room itself, because we had a four bed room and it was honestly a bit tight for the two of us. The woman at breakfast wasn't super nice but I didn't speak french...

The place is amazing. Great rooms. Great location (Notre Dame is very close). Staff is very helpful! There are a lot of restaurants and bars and cafes around. No WiFi the rooms, though. I highly recommend it.

Great location! Clean beds! Nice and helpful staff. Free wifi only in main dining room was not ideal. Also there was no printer which was not great. The breakfast was good. Bring a towel or buy one from somewhere else. They sell very small towels there for five euros each. The crowd there was very young. Mostly teenagers and their...

The location is perfect! The Maubuisson is in a pedestrian area in the Marais district. Notre Dame is barely a 10 min walk away, the Louvre 20min. Close to the Hostel is a bus stop for bus #69 which will take you along the main sights, ending at the Eiffel Tour. Just a few minutes in each directs will get...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
