This quite new hotel is well located in the heart of St Germain. The art gallery quarter of the left bank. Within five minutes walk of the metro and many tourist sights. Staff are friendly, good humoured and professional, apart from the Russian receptionist on duty when I checked in, whose frosty and unwelcoming attitude cost this review a star.... More

Stayed for three nights. A wonderful boutique hotel just a short walk from Saint Germain des pres metro station in the Left Bank. Easy access to the sights of Paris, walk up the street and you are looking at the Louvre across the Seine. Beautifully decorated, bright and spotlessly clean, this hotel appears to have been recently refurbished, but retains... More

Everything was perfect except for the size of the room and closet space. The staff was exceptionally helpful and the interaction was definitely very homey and personal. Express breakfast was a excellent choice. I expected a small room (the photos are NOT deceiving). However, the closet space was a hassle even though it was 2 of us traveling only with... More

My husband and I and two kids (18 and 21) stayed three days at the Hotel de l'Academie and couldn't have been more pleased. We stayed in two adjoining rooms, which worked perfectly. The hotel is beautifully decorated and is quite charming. The location was perfect for us - close to many cafes and restaurants and only a 10 minute... More

Would highly recommend this hotel! 5 of us stayed for 6 nights occupying 2 rooms. Great location, very nice, spacious rooms with air conditioning and large screen tv's. Very nice buffet breakfast in the mornings. Everyone at the front desk spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful answering all of our questions and giving us numerous directions. I would like... More

This hotel is so well situated in Saint Germain and is a stones throwaway from the louvre and many other attractions. It's also been newly renovated and although the rooms are small they are well appointed and luxurious. We scored with 501 as it's the only room with a balcony. We didn't book breakfast as it seems pricey at 20Euros... More

My wife and I stayed at this delightful hotel for our 25th wedding anniversary. The room with a jacuzzi bath was fantastic with a comfortable king size bed and large screen tv on the wall. The breakfast room was very well decorated, as was the rest of the hotel, and there was plenty of quality food for the €19 per... More

This small, recently modernised and charming little hotel is right in the heart of Paris, only 50 metres from Boulevard St Germain. Many of the main sights of the city can be easily walked to. It is surrounded by good restaurants, and the famous Cafe Deux Magots, Cafe Flore and Cafe Procope are all within a 5 minute walk. While... More

We have had the pleasure of staying here often, over the last 10 years. The location is great, and the historic charm of the building is undeniable. But it still feels like a home away from home, staying at the house you wish your favorite Aunt inherited. The great manager, Patricia and her team give top rate service. We book... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
