Great little hotel centrally located. Rooms were large and well appointed. Rainfall shower was awesome. Staff was very attentive and eager to assist. English was not an issue with desk staff. Easy access to public transportation, both bus and metro. Would definitely recommend.
This is a good hotel in a great location - a few steps away from a Metro stop, across the street from a small supermarket, and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. The rooms are nice, although our windows opened onto a space between buildings with not much to look at. Other than that, the concierge was extremely helpful in giving recommendations and setting up taxis for trips to the train station and the airport. Housekeeping was a little iffy - while the rooms were cleaned each day, they didn’t necessarily restock some items in the room like drinks and coffee packs. Breakfast was terrific - Anne-Marie manages the breakfast station and treated me and my family with grace and care. She is a treasure and helped start off our days smoothly.
We highly recommend this hotel. Very clean, the breakfast restaurant is very pretty and Ann Marie is fantastic! All the amenities are very nice. The outdoor area is beautiful and the location is amazing, your have everything near to the hotel. The receptionist Avalon provided great customer service. We definitely will be back.
My wife and I spent 3 nights at Hotel Le Walt a couple of weeks ago as part of a vacation in France. Of the 4 hotels we stayed at during our trip, Hotel Le Walt was far and away our favorite! The room was very comfortable, with a large bathroom. We also got a view of the Eiffel Tower. The staff was wonderful, even helping us out one evening when we picnicked on their patio. There are loads of great restaurants around though, and all of the Paris sights are easily within walking distance. Thank you for providing us with a great stay!
This is a charming romantic hotel. The staff spoke English and they were helpful to us at all times. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. There is a cafe across the road which has an English menu and a bakery almost next door. We had a perfect stay.
My Wife and I stayed at this hotel after reading the previous good reviews and were overall extremely disappointed. We stayed in a room on the third floor our first night and the second night moved up to the top floor for the Eiffel Tower view. Big mistake!! The room itself was a huge downgrade aside from the view of the Eiffel Tower. It was a lot smaller than the third floor room and of course a lot more expensive. Although that could be considered our decision, what followed was absurd. The A/C simply didn’t work the first 2 nights in 90 degree weather so they brought in a gigantic A/C unit for us that we had to hook up. Then the first morning we woke up and there was a leak in the ceiling of the bathroom AND the light fixture in the bathroom stopped working. Then to wrap it up my Wife was in the shower and the shower backed up and wouldnt drain, so we couldn’t shower in our own hotel room. I understand that things happen to hotel rooms and adjustments need to be made, but the Staff here is the reason for the 2 stars. It is very easy to be considered good at anything when things are going well, but I feel that when things go wrong and how staff handle situations is the most telling part of a hotel. This Staff took all of our issues very lightly. Because our issues occurred on a Sunday it was essentially a “sorry we can’t get anyone to fix this until Monday.” Then on Monday my Wife and I were gone ALL DAY and we came back at 5:30pm to the maintenance man still in our room not having fully fixed the light fixture. Our A/C was fixed and the leak and clogged shower was addressed, which I guess I should give them a high five for making a room livable? We had to get ready for dinner so we asked the maintenance guy to leave and return the next day regarding the light. The Hotel Manager assured us he would have it completed by the time we came back on Tuesday. THE MAINTENANCE GUY NEVER SHOWED UP AND NEVER FIXED OUR LIGHT IN OUR BATHROOM. We checked out of the hotel never having a fully functioning bathroom. Again, the casual and cavalier attitude the staff had about our issues essentially telling us “we don’t have anywhere else for you to go, no other rooms are available” while also not fixing these issues ASAP was bizarre. The 1 thing I can say the staff did (Not the Manager by the way, he is a young kid who probably shouldn’t have the job he does) was the receptionist running up 6 flights of stairs with a key card for my wife to shower in another room. They did comp us a night in the room, which is fine and honestly expected. But I feel like when they did that for us they thought that would essentially shut us up. Like everyone else who visits Paris we were 100% prepared to pay full price for our living arrangements so this doesn’t exactly award you a gold star. My time on vacation with my wife is much more valuable than a nights stay and giving us a discount doesn’t fix that. Whoever made the mistake of rating this hotel 4 stars needs to re review this hotel and probably recommend a change in management.…
We have no complaints after our stay at le Walt; I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for one in Paris!! We stayed at this hotel for a week and a half and arrived on the first day hours before check-in time (3pm) and the front desk held our luggage for us while we waited. When we arrived back at 3pm, they told us that our room was ready and had already brought our luggage up to the room beforehand which was so nice! ROOM: We had a classic room with no Eiffel Tower view but that was perfectly ok because our room was on the 2nd floor with a road view of Av. de la Motte-Picque and was still beautiful. Room is perfect for 2 people with a gorgeous bathroom, comfortable bed, functioning air conditioning, safe, and a mini-fridge. The mini-fridge was restocked everyday with 2 water bottles and 2 other drinks at no extra cost which was amazing because we were here during a record breaking heat wave and the water was a huge help. LOCATION: This hotel is in a fantastic neighborhood, with cafe's within a 2 minute walk. La Commanderie right next door was a perfect spot to hang out after a day of exploring for some drinks and food (we went there twice and it was always so lively!) Easy walk to Champ de Mars, Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, Trocadero, and central Paris from the hotel. Metro station is only a few steps away from the entrance to the hotel which made getting around so easy and convenient. There is also a Carrefour (small grocery store) right across the street which was perfect for picking up extra snacks / water bottles / food. FOOD: We only got the hotel breakfast once as we did not include it in our room package but it was delicious with many different options! STAFF: The staff is great- quick response times and so friendly! All spoke great English too. My fiancé proposed on this trip and the hotel worked with him to have some surprises placed in our room while we were out that day. When we first checked in, they left a hand written note and chocolate bar from Angelina for us. They also brought us up a fresh bowl of fruit! We were here for Bastille Day and they also left a nice handwritten note and little Eiffel Tower key chain in our room too! Avalon at the front desk was wonderful as well. You can tell that all of the staff here at le Walt care so much about their guests and what they do. We will certainly stay here again when we come back to Paris!…
We had a lovely stay at Le Walt. Excellent accommodations and location. Welcoming and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. We will certainly stay at the Le Walt on our next trip to Paris, and have already recommended the hotel to our friends!
If you are looking for a hotel that is conveniently located, has a great staff this is the place. You are across the street from Rue Clair for your food options. Walking to Eiffel Tower. Easy walk to the River and so many other places. The staff is super helpful and the rooms and lobby and very clean and nicely decorated. We will stay here again for sure.
Highly recommend this hotel! My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon, and we are so glad we did. It’s so convenient, just a 15 minute walk or so to the Eiffel Tower, but it doesn’t feel like you’re in a super touristy area at all. (We were in town for Roland Garros, and it was just 30 minutes to the tennis, including the walk.) It isn’t a huge hotel, but the boutique feel only adds to its charm. And the accommodations are excellent...we had a real king bed! The staff were all warm and helpful (and spoke excellent English), though I want to give a special shout-out to Ann Marie for taking great care of us during breakfast (which was exceptional) and preparing the delicious French coffee we enjoyed every morning. We will absolutely stay here next time we’re in Paris!
