Loved this hotel and it's warm an friendly staff. We stayed for a week while in Paris and enjoyed every day. The breakfast was good, our room was spacious with large windows. At the end of the week We left for London but returned to Paris for our departing flight. When we returned, we had booked our last night in...

The hotel was in a great location! We walked a lot. It was also close to metro. The staff went out of their way to help with places to eat, directions and even help buy train tickets online to Reims. Thanks! We will definitely be back😀 Connie

This is a wonderful hotel, an easy recommendation for future travelers. Hotel Joke is on Rue Blanche, a quiet street just a block or two down from the Moulin Rouge and its nearby cafes. The location provides good accessibility to the metro (see below). Check in was simple. Already I could see the snacks. Yum! There were some fresh fruits,...

I loved this hotel. We were staying here during a family vacation and it was my favorite hotel during that trip. As soon as you walk in, the staff is very welcoming. The decor in the hotel is very cute, with slightly different decor in each room, and the view from our window was wonderful. They serve a mini breakfast...

We stayed here for 1 night at the end of our France vacation. We had spent time traveling throughout the country, staying with family. We wanted to spend the last night in Paris, enjoying the city. This hotel was super clean and the rooms were really fun. The complimentary buffet was awesome. Above all, the staff was amazing! Everyone was...

Such a great quirky hotel in the Moulin Rouge area. Everywhere you look you spot something else - we had such a good stay there. Very quiet. Fabulous breakfast with such a wide choice of hot and cold options. Free tea/coffee, Tropicana fruit juices available in reception area all day and in the afternoons free fruit/cake available. Water, canned drinks,...

The hotel was lovely. Definetely on the quirky side but lovely. Bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Although the room was small it was perfectly adequate for what we needed and bigger than most in Paris. Given the location of the hotel, and location of room ( overlooking the streets) excellent triple glazing meant sound nights sleep. Although...

Took two of my nephews to Paris for a long weekend (my late sister Sharon's two sons). We had a great time. Very pleased with the hotel. Had a room with a single and a double that separated. Room big enough to move beds away from each other. Staff very friendly. For me enjoyed coffee machine as I'm a bit...

Had a wonderful experience at this hotel- great area near food and bars. Located about a block away from the metro (proved quite necessary). The snacks from 2pm- 5pm are perfect in between meals. Staff was accommodating and friendly- willing to give recommendations.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
