The concierge (all of them) are quite messy, to the point that the final bill (unintentionally, of course...) was wrong. The man managing the breakfast is as well quite rude. OK, the tariff is relatively cheap, nonetheless...I feel the service/price ration was on the low side

We stayed for 2 nights with our 6 year old son. The air con didn't work, although soon got it fixed, the sink in the bathroom blocked with each use and leaked on the bathroom floor! The walls were dated and in general the whole place needs decorating. The staff however, we very pleasant, but I would not stay again.

When our group of 3 couples arrived we were told that our rooms were not ready and that we now were booked at the end of the street at the annex. While our rooms were being prepared we had lunch and upon returning with our leftover pizza were literally yelled at by the very aggressive clerk at the desk who...

I booked the accommodation through booking.com picked the dates and reserved the room, it says on the hotels website no booking deposit required so to my shock a booking deposit was taken out of my bank account. I phoned the hotel to explain the situation and to get some clarity behind why money was taken from my account when both...

This hotel was quite a disappointment. The staff at reception were nice and helpful, but did some weird things. They required that I left the room key at the front desk when I left, and when I asked why they just said, "So we know when you are not in the room". I thought that was quite weird, like, why...

Very small room a bathroom, otherwise fine as a place to crash for the night. Bed a bit hard for my liking. There was quite a bit of noise outside but it was Friday night. That said it is in a great location, easy to get to central Paris.

I almost changed my reservation after reading some of the negative reviews. However, I am glad that I kept the reservation because the room that we had was very clean and had been updated. It also had a pretty view of the court yard. Yes, the room was small and the elevator was tiny. However, rooms in Paris do tend...

This was the most horrible hotel experience I have ever had. Filthy, dirty rooms and when we got home we discovered that we got biten by bed bugs. Fortunately, since it was so unclean we took the necessary precautions with our clothes and luggage so I do not think that we got them with us back home. Do not under...

Booked this hotel through Airbnb, but when we arrived we were told our reservations were with their "sister property down the street." Went to that property and were told our reservations were for a room that was only for adults and children - but original reservations were for 3 adults. We were told to go back to Unic Hotel and...

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my boyfriend. Plus points are the location is very good 2 minute walk to the metro and lots of bars and restaurants close by. The rooms itself are very basic and decor is quite dated but fine for just sleeping in. Things to know: city tax needs to be paid at...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
