Discreetly nestled behind the trees on Place Saint Sulpice in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés area, Hotel Récamier is about to become a new exclusive address in Paris. The hotel should meet the expectations of travellers in search of confidential addresses such as those exchanged between well travelled and demanding friends.Half of the 24 rooms have a direct view on the place. The rooms have been superbly revamped by the renowned interior designer Jean Louis Deniot who was inspired to create 24 entirely different rooms with one theme per floor. On a classical basis he has added some eclecticism inspired by the various 20th century decorative styles. You will find neither hyper exuberance nor minimalism: here we are talking real Parisian elegance.
Well located small hotel with traditional furnishing and friendly staff
This hotel has a great location, so close to the high spots of the Left Bank. A short walk will take you to some of the best bars, cafes and restaurants in the area.
The hotel is compact and the rooms quite small and traditionally furnished, buts it’s very clean and has a cosy feel.
The breakfast was served to us in the dining room by friendly staff who offered a good variety of options and spoke fluent English.
I’d say this hotel is very suitable for an overnight or few days stay where you’ll be out most of the time doing things in the city. For any longer I’d probably seek a hotel with larger rooms and more public space.
After spending a week on the Seine we wanted to spend an additional day in the beautiful city of Paris. I wanted to select a hotel in an area near a particular restaurant we plan to visit along with sightseeing, cafés and shopping. The Hotel Recamier did not disappoint. A hidden gem next to St Sulpice. Upon our entry the reception was warm and welcoming. We arrived early in the morning, and they gladly held our luggage and even offered us coffee and pastries. We headed out on foot to explore the area and returned in the afternoon just in time for tea.! with a lovely assortment of teas and a beautiful little courtyard. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind from our busy day. Upon arriving in our room, we were met with a beautifully and tastefully decorated space with a separate shower, toilet bed area, and a large window that opened up to the courtyard. Our sleep was comfortable and breakfast. The next morning was fabulous, there was an assortment of pastries, breads, yogurts, cheeses, salmon, and ham, along with different types of eggs. The location off of a little plaza makes it a quiet and peaceful sanctuary, yet in the heart of everything.
Thank you for taking the time to share a detailed comment about your impressions during your stay at the hotel. It is always our pleasure to see that you enjoyed our lounge during breakfast and tea-time while appreciating the quality of the food.
HOTEL RECAMIER is perfectly located in a very Parisian area where we are happy to recommend our best restaurants and boutiques.
We hope to have the pleasure of seeing you again soon.
A bientôt !

I have visited Paris over 50 times. I have stayed in many hotels in Paris, mostly large corporate hotel chains. The Hotel Récamier is by far superior to any other hotel there, and I will now be staying at this hotel in the future. The location is the nicest area of Paris that I have ever stayed. It is located on a very quiet square next to the beautiful plaza of the Saint Sulpice church. Our room was on the first floor and we never heard any outside noise. The inside of the hotel was just as quiet as we never heard any of the other guests in their rooms. The area is so charming for walking, sightseeing, shopping and feeling like a small village. I felt very safe any time of day at this hotel and the surrounding area. The rooms were so lovely and decorated with a very luxury feeling. The king size bed had sheets that were very high quality, and our sheets were changed daily with the daily cleaning by the very efficient housekeepers. The staff of the Hotel Récamier were the most professional and warm staff I’ve ever encountered. The front desk staff always had a smile and were quick to help you with any questions or suggestions as needed. We were even allowed to check in early after a 10 hour overseas flight that arrived in Paris early morning. The breakfast was outstanding. Along with the continental breakfast, we had freshly prepared omelettes every morning in a lovely and cozy room off the lobby area. It also had an outside garden for dining. . The same room is used for a delightful tea and snack service every afternoon from 4-6.pm. Truly an service oriented, luxury boutique hotel- highly recommended

This hotel is a hidden gem - excellent service, kind people, close to everything. They could not have made us feel any more welcome - it was like a little home away from home. the rooms are quite small, but you do not spend much time in your room, when in Paris!

A true French Gem! The hotel was very cute and in a great area. What really made the experience special was the staff. They did everything to make our first trip to a Paris memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel for the last week of August when many locals are out of town. Location was perfect and felt very safe and friendly. I traveled solo and arrived early in the morning from a ten hour flight. Reception was kind enough to let me check in early given that a room was available. This small hotel is very cute and comfortable. They also provide a bottle of complementary water during your stay and tea time with treats in late afternoon. Everyone at reception was so friendly and warm and it is staffed 24/7. Room was cleaned every day. Easy to get around to other parts of Paris. I would definitely stay here again as it met all my expectations especially since I was traveling solo! Shower was good size and good water pressure and nice soaps from Codage brand. I worked remotely and wifi was strong and reliable. I had an interior facing room but didn’t mind at all since I worked a few hours a day and then would walk a lot after or before. Very close to great shops and restaurants! I took an Uber from CDG to the hotel, was about 55 euros. When I left I took an Uber to Orly and that was about 30 euros.…

Amazing hotel! Great location, nice decorations and service! I love their tea time and variety of tea and pastries. We stayed in the room on the fifth floor and could partially see the Eiffel Tower. Would love to come back!

Hotel Recamier was the perfect hotel, in th= e center of Saint Germaine yet tucked into a quiet, leafy corner. We felt like we were staying in a sumptuous private hôtel particulier , but with all the high-touch service of its excellent hotel staff. The front desk helped us secure our preferred dining recommendations and find boutiques for specific items. We were there just one night but the staff made us feel extremely welcome and cared for with all of our needs and requests. Their English is flawless. We will definitely be back. We came as a couple but the hotel is also perfect for a mother/daughter trip; small friend groups; or solo travel. The rooms are very small but efficiently laid out and elegantly appointed. We loved #51 with a terrace view directly of St. Sulpice. …

The location was great & the staff and accommodation was amazing for 3 nights in Paris! We could walk or take the train to everything in only 5-15 minutes. The ambiance outside the hotel was great - a beautiful church and dancing in the evening.

This boutique hotel is in the 6th arrondissement, very close to Saint Sulpice. The ambience there was warm and relaxing. The rooms were lovely and mine had a view of the church as well as the Eiffel Tower if you got onto the balcony. The breakfast was good and the service impeccable. The staff was very patient with my fledgling French. The hotel is close to shopping, the Odeon district, metro and the Luxembourg Gardens. Need I say more?
