Decent hotel for a short stay, could have done with some paint and a clean but over all a decent location and comfortable bed. Also a few of the plug sockets didn't work and the balcony door would not shut properly.

We stayed at Villa Montmartre for Ireland's match at the Euros. We booked a sleeps 4 studio. The room was basic but clean and spacious. Decent size fridge and a TV. We arrived late but it was hassle free enough to make arrangements to let ourselves in and collect the key. THe location was excellent, not far from the metro...

We looked for an accommodation not too far from Gare du Nord and Stade de France and we found Villa Montmartre. Our stay at Villa Montmartre was difficult. This is not a villa, and it is not a hotel. Villa Montmartre does not serve breakfast, but the rooms are equipped with a kitchenette if you dno't want to eat in...

I don't know how this place has such good reviews. The website was totally misleading as to the quality of the property. The nearest subway was shut down, which the proximity of a stop was the only reason we were willing to stay a bit further out. Don't even get me started on how terrible the wifi was. I couldn't...

At first glance the room looked great! However, when it was time to go to bed, we noticed bed bugs. No doubt about it. They were coming out of the fabric headboard! Because the reception closed at 8pm, we had to wait until the morning to tell them. It was awful. In the morning, we told the receptionist and after...

Perhaps not the best location in Paris but! As seasoned visitors who like to explore the city of lights this location is almost perfect for us. 5 minutes stroll from the Steps to Sacré-Cœur. 10 minutes from the local Metro station Anvers which is on the blue 2 metro line, Ideal for accessing almost anywhere in the city quickly. The...

We stayed for 4 nights and loved the location. The apartment was comfortable and quiet as it looked over the back (think the front would be a bit noisy as there are two bars closeby that are open late). Short was to the subway and the main train station Gare Du Nord is a 10 min walk so no need...

Convenient Location for Sacre Coeur and Restaurants. Close to Shopping. Bedsitter with kitchen and view. Nice Eatery close. Also a Bar. Interesting place where Toulouse Letrec would have walked perhaps with contemporaries.

Easter in Paris...it's where I met my wife 39 years ago. She (the city) and Carol are still beautiful. We wanted to stay somewhere we didn't know too well, and Montmartre hit the spot. And then on Easter Monday the Maigret episode was set in...Montmartre! What happy coincidence! The Residence Hotel Villa is a hotel, but the rooms have a...

We found this apartment to have basic furnishings, but an excellent bed and linen and every required for a comfortable stay. An excellent location short walk to the centre of Montmatre and close to the metro . The staff were very helpful and friendly. If you are arriving late make sure you make arrangements during business hours to gain entry...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
